Did anything positive come out of camp last year about Kaepernick?

i wasnt expecting much of anything from him this past year. i'm expecting him to light it up either this preseason or next.

LMAO at you guys thinking Kaep would be gone and not your boy Tolzien. Last I checked, Tolzien rarely even went to the games. Let alone even put a foot on the grass. You guys are nuts, Tolzien was never 2nd on the depth chart either. And nobody even saw anything bad out of Kaep in the first place anyway. Don't know why you guys are assuming he hasn't caught on to anything.

Kap has been working his butt of with Dixon from what twitter shows. I'm sure this will only make him better. Dude seems like he's the type that relishes competition.

I didn't realize every QB reaches their ceiling in their first 5 career starts.

I wouldn't sell Tolzien out. Could be a diamond in the rough but Johnson might have a step ahead as far as the offense goes. May the best man win. I'm a fan of both.

This is all about competition. Kap, Alex, Josh, and Harbs played racquetball together today. Fucking awesome.

Well, in Tolzien's defense he was signed after the preseason ended. Still needed a few months to understand the playbook.

I wouldn't be surprised if this means a 3-way competition for 2nd AND 3rd string QB during camp.

He was a rookie qb with no weapons on offense and the worst coaching staff in the nfl...it's not smith fault

How good was TB in 2009? They went 3-13. Antonio Bryant was their leading WR with 39 catches.

Why is this relevant? Well, 2009 was Josh Johnson's first action in the NFL. In that season he threw 125 of his 177 passes. He also threw 8 of his 10 INTs and 4 of his 5 TDs.

So if the first overall pick gets the excuses you provided him, shouldn't Johnson get similar consideration? Sure, he wasn't a rookie (he was a second year player) but he was drafted 160th overall and was never active in 2008.

Since then he's completed 63.5% of his passes, thrown for 357 yards on 52 attempts (6.9 ypa), 1 TD and 2 INT.

That's not quite on the 5 TD and 10 INT level you're presenting.

He was also better, on a horrible team, than Smith was in his first year of action.

Man, you come up with some funny fucking posts.

You should hear his fucking funny posts, they're better than his funny fucking posts and less graphic.

I was really looking forward to seeing what Tolzien could do. Still, not a bad signing i suppose.
