This guy isn't allowed to have one drink? That seems like a little bit of an overreaction. Did he kill someone or something? Looks like this guy has harmed no other person at any point in his life.

I mean the slaves were allowed to drink more than Josh Gordon. Did he really do enough to warrant that type of treatment?

I don't know for certain, as I haven't read up on it. but a DWI and possession charges...the "no alcohol" may be conditions set forth in his actual probation and have nothing to do with NFL?:noidea:

Again, I'm fairly uninformed here.

Not sure of all the details but maybe he violated his reinstatement orders. Kinda like how former Broncos & current Lions K Matt Prater got a 4 game suspension for drinking.

The NFL finally got serious about DUI's in their last drug testing rules. You get popped for a DUI you are automatically gone for 2 games and in the substance abuse program and are banned from drinking I believe.

It's the NFL being a bit more proactive instead of reactive. It doesn't want another Leonard Little incident to occur in this internet age.

Yes.

He has proven he has major substance abuse issues and is a PR nightmare waiting to happen. He either needs to get himself 100% clean or else he can go sell cars.

 Maybe Gordon should start singing rap now. If he did I don't think his new employers would give a shit if he smoked weed

I don't think his current employers really care either but the league is not ready to ok it...For sake of accuracy...he failed an alcohol test which was added to his ban substance list after a DUI/speeding bust.

Well that may be it. I'm just wondering about the ethics and morals of abuse and why his reinstatement orders were/are more strict than slaves in the 1800s South.

Or maybe he could move to Saudi Arabia. And live by the NFL's rules all the time.

I had a friend convicted of a DUI and she wasn't even supposed to be in bars as terms of her probation.

He apparently failed because he had alcohol in his system, which he isn't supposed to have due to a DUI he got last yr? I didn't even know they did alcohol tests...how long does alcohol stay in your system anyhow? Wonder if he just showed up to the thing drunk haha.

Anyhow, time to cut bait with that P.O.S.

Alcohol can stay in a persons system for up to 12 days.. In MN they have a test that can tell whether a person has used alcohol in the past 10 -12 days

I get my weed at a bar.

It's not on the menu though.

You live in the same area I do, where is your bar? I mean I hate driving to the East side to get mine as I live real close to Camp Dearborn. I could go to Pontiac I guess but damn never know when you get jacked in that city.

Of course I'm serious in asking why the NFL is more strict than Plantation owners in the 1800s south. That answer could shed light on how to stop this nonsense.

I was also serious in stating that if Josh Gordon were to follow Saudi Arabia's rules then the NFL would have nothing on him. Which leads me to ask why should the NFL in America look to Saudi Arabia as a guide for what is and isn't appropriate conduct.
