think Game 3's debacle by Miami/LBJ that Jordan is >>>>>>>> over LeBron....

Guarantee that if you take MJ in his prime and put him on this Heat team, they never lose by 30+ points, Heat are probably have won 2 titles, going on winning their 3rd.

I think this was a joke, kind of. Thing is though, LeBron does not have a position. He plays some point, some 3 and some 4. There aren't many players in the history of the game who could do that. Magic was one.

As for MJ vs. LeBron, it is really unfair to judge a current player in the middle of his career against an all-time great. Wait until he is nearing retirement, then we can debate. For now it is all about potential because LeBron has a LOT that he needs to accomplish in order to overtake Jordan, but he has a lot of time left in his career.

Ruling him out after 1 bad game would be really premature when he has about 10 seasons left to play and has already accomplished a lot.

MJ can hit the outside shots when it counts and flopping cry :baby: LeBum James depends on going inside and here and there receive charity shots trips from mostly bs calls.

Lebron isn't even 30 yet. When people tried to compare Jordan to Magic and Bird at age 29, what do you think the response was? It is much like the response against LeBron today.

Do I think Lebron will do enough to be considered the GOAT? No, but I am not naive enough to rule out such a unique talent at such a young age.

Jordan could not shoot as well as LeBron does now when he was 28.

No discussion really. Just sit back and wait and enjoy the Greatness.

Lebron has had x1000 more great games than poor games. I understand he is in the Finals now, but it is only 2-1, not close to over unless of course they lose tonight.

Game 4 is more pressure than Game 3 was. Now they are down, this is when he thrives. Remember Boston last yr-a PERFECT game.

He was also a horrible 3 pt shooter for half his career and became a decent one late. He thrived on the mid range and getting to hoop early but didn't become a great shoter to later in his career like tlance said.

Will LeBrons career last as long as JOrdans though? for the argument that he is onl 28 now. LeBron has a bigger body, and his style sets him up to go against big bodies, LeBron looked absolutely dead in the 4th quarter of game 3. My guess is his body will be slowing down in the near future (3-4 years) The aches and pains will get to him. He doesn't seem the strong type either to fight through those everyday aches.

Point is, you can speculate all you want, but his status depends on what he does over the rest of his career. I think any logical person can agree he has not done enough yet. At age 28, however, he has a pretty impressive resume so far.

Maybe you mean the pple he meets at the basket will have short career. He plows over pple, he will not slow down.

He has never been seriously injured his whole career (knock on wood). What makes you think he will stop anytime soon??

what makes me think he will stop sometime soon (4 years) is that LeBron doesn't have that drive and competitiveness that Jordan had. I just don't feel it or see it in him. Jordan made the Bulls good, yes he had Pippen, but that was really it. The rest was a solid group of role players that he made look really really good. LeBron had to go team up with all-stars to get what he wanted.

even when MJ was with the Wizards, he made them competitive and they were the worse team in the NBA. He also did this long past his prime.

Jordan in his prime, on this Heat squad with Wade and Bosh. Heat probably break the 72-10 record and are going for their 3rd title.

Even if the Miami Heat pulls out this series and wins it with or without Lebron - there is absolutely no discussion or question that Michael Jordan was the best of the two and it's not even close for Lebron the dickless wonder. After Michael Jordan won his first championship, he never lost in the finals again and had he played in those two years in between - then the Bulls would have had 8 straight championships. Lebron is not even worthy of giving Michael a BJ

They need their second first and right now they further away from that possibility then the Spurs:laugh3:

It's just like MJ said, the only player that deserves comparison is Kobe.

True, but Kobe is a lot closer to the end of his career and he does not measure up either.
