there are different levels of severity for all injuries.

you may have injured your ankle 3 times ... twice simply rolled your ankle & able to walk it off the next day while that one time you damaged that ankle severely.

i imagine the same could be said with concussions and brain injuries.

with that being said ...

I hope Jordan does what is best for his health & his family long term

The way i see it he has two options.

Options A: walk away from the game permanently.
Options B: continue playing & miss a few games a year to give his brain time to let the swelling go down.

Either way i support his decision & am thankful for players like Junior Seau & Mike Webster & the Will Smith Concussion movie that has educated so many people like myself. Before watching that movie I was one of the people who thought they just were not tuff enough. But now i understand .... & thankfully the NFL has stepped aside and put independent specialists in charge of evaluating these decisions.

After the wife went to bed I watched tue 2nd half again. Pretty sure I identified the play, short pass where he got hit in the back of the head and immediately reacted.

By the way Trent Williams was a stud in pass pro all game. A few times his guy shot off ths edge and he had the feet to stay with him. Our pass protection right now is tremendous. If we fcan find a cemter and a good running back we are in a good situation on that side of the ball.

I will have to watch that hit, again. Oh! Trent did play his ass off. I remember that one block he had, against Terrell Suggs, when he rushed, offsides. Despite getting a head start, Trent was still able to stop him. The whistle blew and the play was dead, but still.....

right ... & i understand he is frustrated with missing time ... but making the wrong decision & trying to play through it could possibly end up costing him even more recovery time.

He should retire, perhaps right now even. His lawyer and Skins brass can than hopefully work something out contract-wise. Far as the TE position goes. If/when JR does retire I think the Skins will be alright at said position with Davis for a couple, three seasons. He's still fast as fuck and while I don't know his injury history. He looks like he still has some decent tread on the tires. Kinda funny in a weird way, I was starting to think KC was depending on Reed maybe a little too much. That perhaps it was taking KC away from his downfield reads a split second sooner than it should have.

That said, this is a fucked up break for Reed no doubt. You could see he had really worked on both his blockingh and his blocking technique. from last to this season. With 6 already in the bank. I wouldn't be surprised if Reed is already dealing with some concussion related issues right now in life on a semi-regular basis.

Hope so. Not code red, but close. The goal amongst most skins fans and pundits was to get to the break 5-3. Well here we are.

Every man should have the power to make his own decisions in life. But wow, really worry about this decision for him.

I imagine we know a whole lot more about ankles and the effect and lasting repercussions continually injuring them will cause. Than we know about brains and the effect and lasting repercussions continually injuring it will cause.
