I'm hoping some of them make the vets look foolish by comparison, so that it becomes a matter of "ok we can't hold these guys back any longer, time to deal people".

Lou went out of his way today when being interviewed about Gelinas and Merrill to mention Urbom. I'm still thinking Urbom has the inside track on this. Remember the season before the Larsson draft Lemaire said Urbom was out best prospect. Not to mention he's a monster 6'5" 215.

Yea I agree. The fact that Lou didn't even bother to invite him shows Lou thinks him of more than a prospect not. The guy should be ready while these other guys are just trying to fight for injury replacement roles

Gelina is the PP guy....we'll see.

I really want to see him in some pre-season games

With some of the kids I think I'll try to catch a couple pre-seasons....usually don't bother

That's definitely a huge factor. They are basically polar opposites based on the scouting reports. Physical defensive dman/ vs the offensive dman. Gelinas is no slouch either at 6'4"

Urbom and Gelinas are listed on the team's roster page instead of the prospect page.

Merrill is also 6'4". Larsson is 6'3". That's a lot of monsters back in the zone. Future looks bright, really hope some of them can transition into the pro game.

One final thing: Lou said point blank that Urbom, Gelinas, and Merrill are all guaranteed NHL defensemen in the future, it just comes down to when the make the jump.
