He's done a great job of getting this team ready for the draft. The trades were sensational - when you consider he got basically starters - for late day 3 picks. He worked the salary cap well - snagging a QB with middle money. And how - we get to see what Jake Butt has in him.

I'm thinking now - I may just lose my $100 bucks to that rube from Kansas (or off to old Baldy).

When I 1st moved to Boulder back in 2010 I found out very quickly all you have to do to piss a Broncos fan off is talk some shit about # 7.:D

All jokes aside though how much longer before Bowlen & Atwater get into the HOF? It's absurd they aren't in there.

I’m guessing the only way that doesn’t happen is if someone takes him in top 4.

And yes, I am wrong every year!

Well I hope your team gets the player they want. Although excited to see Roby as a starter this year. I know Talib's a damn good player but I'm biased & # 29 went to Ohio State.

Haha the team is definitely set up now where they don't have to absolutely fill a position. They have at least guys with starting ability at every position. Thankfully we will know who won the bet in less than a month.

I think Elway has done a great job creating fake interest in a QB at 5
My guess is Barkley is their target

Elway is has said that he failed Vance last year by not giving him the pieces he needs. Drafting a QB at 5 really doesn't fill that win now montra. I think we draft Nelson, Barkley, or a defensive player at 5. If we trade back then things might be a bit different.

Still think if we don't go QB at 5 (it's a poistion you never want to screw up, so putting extra into it isn't a problem for me especially long term) but if not at #5, don't sleep on using our 2nd rounder to move up and grab my guy Mason Rudolph.

I kind of hope that we trade back with Buffalo for their 2 firsts and use 21 or 22 ( I am too lazy to check and don't remember). We can then pick up Rudolph with the last pick in that trade.

I think Mayfield will fall to the 5th pick and the Broncos will pick him or track back with someone like the Bills. I do think the target is Barkley, but he will be gone - I suppose.

I still think with the 5th pick - if not a QB is a vote for winning all the marbles this year. Picking a top QB with number 5 is a bet on the possibility of a 10 year QB run - with the first 5 years on the relative cheap. Key word is possibility. Keenum is - at least proof - in reality - that a QB can be trained to a top level over time - if you have the intangibles. If the Broncos draft a 2nd tier QB in this draft - they will have 3 1st round picks playing to back up Keenum (this is giving Chad Kelly his Jr. year in college ball status).

Who do you favor Springy?
1. Rosen
2. Mayfield (with some trepidation, but you know I do have an Oklahoma history)
3. Chubb
4. Nelson

I’m honoring the memory and the wisdom of Tom G who would roll over in his grave if he knew Elway would consider a RB at #5.
