Let me be clear. Mixon was NOT JUSTIFIED. He escalated the physical force to dangerous and unjustifiable levels. With that said, if some chick like the dumb bitch at my uncle's high school thinks she's man enough to bare knuckle box with me or any other man, she deserves what she gets. Again, let me be clear. I am not saying that applies to this situation. IT DOES NOT. But absolute statements are foolish. Anybody has a right to defend themselves from anyone, regardless of gender.

I should add to my post about never hitting a woman -- if she is coming at me with a weapon (bat, knife, etc) all bets are off.
If a 125 lb woman slaps at me. I will put her in her place, but laying her out with a punch isn't an option.

There has to be something missing in all this. I hope they release the video so we can view it. Seems as how some describe it -- she should have been charged. When others describe it, it makes ensemble why she wasn't.
In the end -- I'm in the group where you don't hit a female ever. That is how I was brought up.
Part of me feels bad for Mixon, but he has no one to blame but himself. He is going to lose so much over such an absolutely ridiculous situation.

My understanding is she called him a ni**er and pushed him, he lunged in her general direction but kept his hands down is my understanding, she slapped him, and he decked her. Again, shitty decision, and unacceptable actions, but I can understand how it happened. Again, how many of you can guarantee you would act with the poise you demand at his age and in such a situation? My honest guess, is a lot less than would admit it.

I got the same kind of treatment a few times when I was in the military. I never showed my license first, I always showed military ID. Never got a ticket, and never got in trouble for things I could have.

The girl and her friends were already in Pickleman's. Mixon and a group of his friends entered the shop. They ordered and sat down. At some point there were words exchanged among members of both groups. It is unclear who said what. Statements indicate someone made a gay slur about one of the girl's friends. It's unclear who, and I do not recall whether anyone said is specifically Mixon. This is when the girl got up and confronted Mixon directly. Words were exchanged. The girl is seen pushing Mixon and apparently called him a ni**er. He lunged in her direction, keeping his hands at his side. She slapped him, and he decked her. Mixon and his friends left.

It's not actually clear who used the gay slur. Nonetheless, that's not an acceptable reason to initiate physical assault.
