I was one of the people who argued the loudest that Joe Mixon had to pay a price for what he did so get off your high horse. Jeez. Every school has people who do stupid stuff. My comments on releasing the tape now are narrowly focused. There is NO point in rehashing the past since he has kept his nose clean since that event. People like you who never forgive and never forget need to be careful; everyone needs to be cut some slack at times and you will want that same privilege yourself sooner or later whether it's from a judge, a wife, a friend, whoever. I have no idea, but if she really hit him first on video, I would absolutely charge her. Without a video, you might have to pick which one to charge, but with a video, you don't have that issue.

Yes he was served teh punishment they told him to serve. I think he should have had more punishment and I think OU would have been wise to cut him loose. This is going to be brought up all season long, as long as he is on the team. Hope OU doesn't get any gamedays this year.

She admitted to hitting him first, and yes the video shows it. She received no charges.

I am not saying Mixon was an angel nor didn't deserve any repercussions. But this dumb bitch if I recall wasn't even a college student. She was basically a methhead who was hanging out on campus with some friends. Now if I was at an establishment, and spat in a black guy's face and called him Ni###r odds are I probably will get knocked out. I highly doubt any of the fellow Hooplans would use those words. My guess she boozed and drugged up and thought she was all that. Reminds me of a Dave Chapelle skit were one time here he stated "I would never hit woman, never.......but I understand."

I'm arguing that he has received the same punishment as any regular person would have in the exact same circumstances and then some because the school punished him as well.

It was a reaction to getting hit in the face. A number of poor decisions preceded no doubt, but it was reflex. I am not excusing his actions, but it seems too many of you want to ignore the girl's guilt and the role she played in all this. She is NOT innocent. She DOES NOT deserve a pass because she has a vagina. I have said repeatedly, both parties deserved to be charged, and they do. Her gender does not absolve her of responsibility for what she did. Fuck any of you who think it does.

He plays a position that is a dime a dozen and unless he is the 2nd coming of Adrian Peterson, that video will cost him a fortune.

A 125 lb drunk girl isn't going to physically harm a person the size of Mixon. He could have grabbed her arms as soon as she made any move toward him.
I do agree, a woman shouldn't put her hands on a guy if she doesn't expect the same in return. I was just brought up where u never put your hands on a woman.
