Tony Castillas, unlike the sooners on here was disappointed in Oklahoma on the way they handled the Joe Mixon situation. Of course the dumb sooner fans attacked him, but hey at least OU will have a good running game next season. Like someone else said in this thread, we all love sports but their is more to life than sports. Mixon is a POS, hopefully the video comes out one day.

Mixon doesn't deserve a break. What if that girl was your sister, your daughter or your mom? Would you be arguing for him to get a break? What if he was a 3rd string RB -- you think any school, not just OU, would give him a break if that player broke a girl's orbital bone in 4 places?
OU isn't the first school and won't be the last give an extremely talented athlete a chance they don't deserve. The fans coming down on OU probably cheer for a school who would do the same thing in their shoes.
That being said -- I really hope the video comes out and Mixon suffers the true consequences for his actions. College suspensions and lenient court sentencing is one thing. The millions it will cost him at the next level will be the real eye opener for him. A team will take a chance on him, but he will free fall down draft boards once the video is released and he has no one to blame but himself.

I was one of the people who argued the loudest that Joe Mixon had to pay a price for what he did so get off your high horse. Jeez. Every school has people who do stupid stuff. My comments on releasing the tape now are narrowly focused. There is NO point in rehashing the past since he has kept his nose clean since that event. People like you who never forgive and never forget need to be careful; everyone needs to be cut some slack at times and you will want that same privilege yourself sooner or later whether it's from a judge, a wife, a friend, whoever. Judge not lest ye be judged.

I hope Mixon stays healthy and runs for about 180 yards all season. I hope he is the biggest bust and OU is saddled with defending a guy that couldn't beat anyone but a woman. He avoided jail time because it was his first offense and because he responded to being physically assaulted. It's the only way they could avoid charging the girl who initiated the physical altercation.

Yes he was served teh punishment they told him to serve. I think he should have had more punishment and I think OU would have been wise to cut him loose. This is going to be brought up all season long, as long as he is on the team. Hope OU doesn't get any gamedays this year.
