I would not want Mixon to represent A&M in any fashion, and I would be embarrassed as shit if Sumlin and the powers that be at A&M let him stay at the school. However, you, Stoops, the AD, & President keep making excuses for why keeping him on the team was the right choice.

I was just talking about Jackson the other day and we were discussing how his death changed the public's perception of him on a dime. Before he died, he was generally regarded as a creepy pedo. He dies and all the sudden everybody loved him.

Meh. He had some great songs, but he's still a creepy fucking pedo to me. I'm not familiar enough with Downey Jr to know what he's done that could be reasonably compared to sodomizing the Home Alone kid, or caving a girl's face in, but I suppose you could tell me.

Regardless, I've not once on this thread said that I don't think Mixon should be drafted or that he won't be. I wouldn't want to be in a position where I'd want to root for him, but since I'm not much of an NFL fan, ultimately Mixon's future is of very little consequence to me. I've just poked fun at the clowns on here who've been defending him and Stoops because Boomer Sooner.

There were still plenty of people who enjoyed Jackson's music and bought his albums. I know Downey Jr. has had several run ins with the law (my wife follows all of that celebrity stuff and has mentioned it), although to be honest, I don't know if there is anything that compares to what Mixon did. I'd ask her but then she might think I'm actually interested in that stuff and want to talk to me about it more. Not gonna take that chance. lol

Wasn't necessarily referring to you or anyone else in my post. More just pointing out that it's interesting how we don't do as good a job of "separating the artist from the art" in sports as we do in other areas. I think he should have been released from the program, but I also think after he had time to reflect, that he deserved a second chance.

People do dumb shit all the time when they're 18, did he know hitting a girl was wrong? of course, did you know sleeping with your cousin at 18 was wrong, of course? But we make dumb decisions when we are young and dumb, you live and you learn.
