Jim Caldwell attends N.D Pro Day

Personally, I think when coaches and GMs attend a player's pro day, there is some real interest there. I dont think coaches would waste valuable time traveling around just to see these guys up close for no reason at all or smoke screen purposes. Its news to me that Caldwell attended NDs pro day and its kind of interesting.

Between Martin, Niklas, Truitt and Nix, I wonder who he was there to see. Lions are in need of a few Dlinemen and have shown more interest in the TE position.

Caldwell attending ND would seem to indicate he has his eyes on someone or some guys at ND. Nix is the only guy that comes to mind.

I really don't know, Lionstop. Tuitt is a 3-4 DE, so I'd eliminate him too along w Nix. Maybe they like Martin at RT? Or they Like Niklas and plan to run multiple TE sets?

If it's any of those 4 guys, I'd guess it's Martin.

Every single NFL franchise sent a representative to NDs pro day. And Tuitt didn't participate anyway, his foot still hurt.

Mayhew has checked out Barr, Evans, Watkins, Ha-Ha Dix, Calvin Pryor, and Gilbert, but I can't find anything about him checking out Dennard at MSU's pro day.

Imo that adds credibility to the notion that Dennard will be the pick if recent history of the Lions taking guys they had zero off season contact with repeats itself.

It's like they know who they want to draft, then check out everyone else just in case something unexpected happens and their guy isn't there.

I haven't found squat all offseason on who it is that shows up repping the Lions. I know Tomlin was at MsU, but that's about it. They could be sending the guy that yelled at zwic for swearing in front of kids for all I know.
