Long time Seahawks fans remember this ? One of the biggest meltdowns I ever had.... This was on 4th down and decided the game.. HE DID NOT SCORE!!! ON a bright note it did bring back instant replay...

#1 worst moment for me as a Seahawks fan. Blatantly obvious he doesn't get it. Two refs looking straight down the goal line can't figure it out. Just awful.

On the plus side for Seattle I don't think they fire Erickson if they make the playoffs that season. And without firing Erickson they never hire Holmgren.

That's a good point.... Not only did it bring back instant replay, but it indirectly helped bring Holmgren to Seattle...

On another bright note, it was the end of Dennis Erickson...

Yeah, he never really panned out at the next level... Good college coach just not a good pro coach... I think he called the NFL, No Fun League

He wasn't great in the NFL, but at least he didn't quit on his team when he realized the NFL was too hard for him. Looking at you Nick Saban and Bobby Petrino.

That took the place of the game 5 Sonics vs Denver 1994 at that time, and I'm still pissed about both.

OH man, 94 Sonics was a painful moment ... I was depressed for about a month or 2 ... But in 96 it was cool to see them finally get over there mental hump ... I still say we put Gary on Jordan starting that series we had an outside shot to beat that 96 Bulls team... George #@$^ that up ....

That loss also kept us from the playoffs. Had we won we would've been in.

and my hope for that series was that Nate would be healthy to cover MJ. He wasn't though.

OH I know, Nate was a great defender also... It's a shame he was so hobbled...

Biggest factor in that series wasn't Micheal anyway. It was Rodman. Rodman was the MVP of that finals. Without question. He made the Sonics his personal bitches. Brickowski literally lost his mind, Dennis was so far up his ass.

Jordan looked all too human in that series. He was tired.

Sooooo many extra possessions, soooooo many stupid retaliatory fouls.

Rodman was the man in '96.

If we're doing apples to apples (looking at the refs) the better analogy was that playoff game against the suns, where they had something fvcking stupid like 63 FT attempts in the game. Forget what year that was.

In the ref's defence, the Sonics were jacking up threes and long two's all game long, so it was easy for the calls to be out of whack, but not 40 whistles out of whack.

I don't want to even google that shvt, it'll make me angry. :(
