Saleh probably should be in the league for awhile as a defensive coordinator.

Yeah, he's going to get plenty of offers and should really take a page out of Spagnolo's book and just be content to be a DC. HC is just not a good fit for him. Of course, Spagnolo is in a perfect situation and winning rings but I think guys like these and Fangio and others are just better off on that side of the ball and not having to deal with all the other stuff.

Yeah, I was going to make the Spagnuolo comparison. His stint on the STL Rams was a bit of a dumpster fire. Not all on him but I thought Jeff Fisher immediately improved the team and that says all you need to know. Spags is known for being a really good teacher. Head Coach is a bit more CEO. I'm not too familiar with Saleh but the defenses were routinely good in SF and NYJ.

Jets, Jets, Jets

My landlord from years ago with climb up to the roof (half in the bag of course) and yell that Jet chant from the top of his lungs after a big Jet win.

Thankfully Jet wins were of a minimum.

I see this as pure misdirection by GM/Ownership.

Fire the coach as cover so nobody blames selling the farm for a 40 year old has been with an attitude problem.

"We are just a QB away from winning the Super Bowl"

- Naw you don't have to play in the pre-season.....

.....
WHY THE HELL didn't you play in the pre season!?!? We need more weapons

You forgot to add, " I don't need minicamp or pre-season to work on timing and chemistry with Mike Williams. Mike will just have to figure it out."

I’m not surprised by this at all - the Jets have sucked under Saleh. I do wonder if behind the scenes drama with Rodgers played a role in this.

Being an Eagles fan has been hard at times in my life. But never was it as hard as it must be to root for the Jets. Even the Browns and Commanders have had their rays of sunshine from time to time. Jets is pure chaos and misery.

Not saying he was a good coach, but he's not really the main problem. The Jets biggest problem, other than being the Jets, is Nathaniel Hackett & Aaron Rodgers. The Jets offense is too stagnant schematically (which is why it sucked with other QBs) and Rodgers is old and immobile. It's not 10 years ago where Rodgers will win you games by himself. He's not great anymore. He's just a serviceable starter that can win you games IF everything else is in place.

You know he did. Erin is not the sorts to admit his culpability in this seasons mess so of course Saleh will take the sole blame for it.

I think it is clear at this point that the Jets' biggest problem is Woody Johnson. He's a terrible owner.

Ditto Rex Ryan. Awesome coordinator, not so good HC. The Jets seem to love these kinda guys.
