Permanently?
Are you fist fucking me?

She's fine. Easily better than Boone, Shulman, and (especially) Schilling. It's also a good thing Kruk won't be announcing games.
It's better than....." Back..... Back.... Back.................. caught on the edge of the infield grass"
Heard her a few times and she sounded pretty good.
she's fine. this is more lame espnw bs being force fed down our throats to be pc.

But if she's fine for the job then why couldn't that just have been the reason?
fine isn't really good. Or the best.
It's qualified enough...bare minimum.
I don't suspect you'd personally say that all of the males that ESPN has had broadcasting baseball are/were "really good" or "the best", and yet I also don't think that you'd ever say that they only got their jobs because they're men.
No, but they also don't have that novelty.
She isn't as good as most of the guys one of the guys above listed. Which means her gender was very likely a consideration.
My issue isn't that she's a female or even awful. She's decent.
But nothing full time job worthy outside of diversity.
My issue stems from the fact every time I listened to her last year she somehow related these MLB players triumphs/struggles to her experiences in woman's softball. Annoying as hell.
But that's an opinion though. ESPN (and/or other viewers I suppose, I have no idea what feedback they have gotten) could have simply had a different one. If you wanted to argue that she was absolutely (and obviously) terrible then I suppose you could maybe try to argue that there is no basis for ESPN's opinion.
She wasn't better than Schilling before twitter.
She's not magically better now.
So ESPN says "nuh uh". Then you say "uh huh". And neither of you is "wrong".
