"ANAHEIM, Calif. – Los Angeles Angels pitcher Jered Weaver's wife, Kristin, gave birth to the couple's first child Friday, a healthy son Aden, named after Nick Adenhart.
Adenhart was 22 years old when he died four years ago. He, along with two friends, was killed by a drunk driver hours after throwing six shutout innings against the Oakland A's. "
That's pretty awesome of Weaver, it was so sad to hear of Adenhart's passing after rooting against him when he lead the Angels against my Athletics before being killed that night he looked to be a very talented young pitcher. It's nice that Weaver still has him in mind and for him honor his former teammate in this way.
