"On May 9, Jaz Reynolds was one of three wide receivers and one defensive back that were suspended indefinitely for violating team rules. (rumors run the gamut from poor classroom attendance/participation, to smoking reefer, to spending too much time in the local casinos...not sure we'll ever get the truth)

The other two wide receivers were Trey Franks and Kameel Jackson. The defensive back was Quentin Hayes.

Reynolds, along with Franks and Hayes, was removed from his scholarship. Sooners coach Bob Stoops said Monday that they still weren’t on scholarship. However, Oklahoma updated its online printable football roster yesterday, and Reynolds is on it.

All four of them were taken off the online roster during the summer and they aren’t in the media guide."

This is HUMONGOUS news for the OU faithful. Going into this campaign we were looking at a receiver corps that had only ONE WR that had actually caught a pass at the DIV I/FBS level.

Trey Franks has already been reinstated.

With the addition of Trey Metoyer and assorted JUCO transfers, Landry Jones will have a good selection of targets to choose from.

HUGE news.

Stoops Announces Roster Changes

NORMAN, Okla. -- Head coach Bob Stoops announced several changes to the University of Oklahoma football roster on Wednesday in anticipation of the team's first fall practice on Friday.

Senior center Ben Habern has opted to conclude his playing career due to lingering neck and back concerns. Habern started 30 contests at center during his career with the Sooners.

An arm injury limited the Argyle, Texas, native to six starts a year ago after he opened all 14 games in 2010, earning All-Big 12 honorable mention honors from the Associated Press in the process. He was named to the All-Big 12 Freshman Team by ESPN.com in 2009.

"Our coaching staff knows this was a difficult decision for Ben," Stoops said. "Ben has been a consummate leader for our team, both on and off the field. We appreciate the toughness that Ben has displayed, and we wish him the very best as he completes his education at OU."

Trey Franks, Quentin Hayes and Jaz Reynolds have all been reinstated to the roster for practice only, and will remain suspended indefinitely from participating in games. Kameel Jackson's suspension will be reviewed at the conclusion of the current academic session.
