I'm only upset that we probably only have a few more games to see Jayden Daniels play tackle football It's so enjoyable to watch him deliver excitement every week, not sure what I'll do when the season is over.

I mean you never know. Look at Stroud right now. I get the injuries to his receiving corp. Look at RG3 in 2013.

That said, what if this is Jayden's floor? What if 10-5 is AP and this team's floor? Schedule looks daunting next year for sure.

March is FA. We have 99m. The draft is April. I'm looking forward to the off-season. Jayden does make watching football fun. Talked to a lot of my buddies down here who aren't Skins fans and they tell me Jayden and the Skins are appointment television.

its not that people don't want him. @skinsdad62 didn't want the Skins to trade for him, but rather wait till he's a FA. Which in one respect is cool, but the potential downside is the bidding war that could take place for his services.

Kinda mind blowing on Cincy's part when you consider Higgins only wanted a Michael Pittman type contract. 3 years/68 million or thereabouts.

You are 100% right about the downside . I just feel like overpaying Higgins with our cap space isn’t an issue if you keep the draft picks . But it’s also valid that getting Higgins via trade this year would have been a coup as well . Gotta give sty and Skinem for being ahead of the crowd on what this team is

Oh this team is desperate for another impact WR and McCaffery isn't going to be that guy IMO. I can't even imagine the offense should Terry go down. But in Peters we trust, if he thinks Higgins is a good investment at whatever number he is signed for, or declines to do, I'll trust him.

One thing to consider is everyone talks about the hundred million in cap space without considering how many of their productive players are on one year deals and will cost a lot of cap space to retain.

This is a game where Terry and Jayden were just off. AJ did a good job against him. The refs did their best to stop us but we defeated them too. This is one rare time I don't think Higgins would have a made a difference.
The pass rush and lack of cornerback depth, roughing calls and awful holding calls kept ATL in the game.

Higgins and a CB in FA and draft another CB. They Skins also need DL n OL help. So in the end your preference of noty trading away pickss mayu end up eing the best course of action.

Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good ....

For at least 2024 Washington was aided by Chicago taking Williams over Daniels.

For those like me who were worried about Daniels taking hits he has done well. He does need to run to be the true version of himself. Please get down or run out of bounds most often. What a talent Jayden has been. He can pass and run and he plays like he has ice water in his veins.

One thing that jumped out at me last night is both lines got outplayed badly. They get no push up the middle on passing downs. I know Newton is grading out well but every time I watch him on passing plays he is stood up at the line. The OL problems are pretty obvious, they have had a big drop off from October in both run blocking and pass pro.

I was hoping getting Allen back might solidify the run defense, but I’m not even sure he played.

The run defense was worse when he was playing. I'm just really down on Jon Allen, he hasn't been productive for 2 years.
