Steady, but not elite.That might happen but his play has been steady
he has 3 pbs so i think thats pretty good for a 17th overall . remember we arent spending much on edge so it isnt hurting us and he is making middle of the pack wage (15)Steady, but not elite.
Add 200+ passing yards to this.
Wow, hard to be surprised tbhAdd 200+ passing yards to this.
Imagine what the numbers look like not having jacked up ribs for 3 games. If you remember, they limited his run plays and he was OFF target those weeks clearly to the naked eye regardless of what pundits said.Won't win MVP, but damn he had a helluva year.
He was definitely more hurt than they let on.Imagine what the numbers look like not having jacked up ribs for 3 games. If you remember, they limited his run plays and he was OFF target those weeks clearly to the naked eye regardless of what pundits said.
HIs play (success rate) means he has meant more to his team than any other QB in the league. WAR is a common metric used in baseball.I have been banging the table for a while…this backs it up.
Two games were won with Mariota at QB. I don't think the team won just because of Jayden although he has been a great addition I am encouraged by his play this year and look forward to even better years ahead..
Yes, there are plenty of people who would argue against your very valid points. (Here are three)Is anyone prepared to argue that we would be 12-5 and heading to the playoffs if we did not have Jayden Daniels? And to think we debated for years the need for a top QB. The argument that you can win the Super Bowl with an average game manager provided you have a good enough roster is simply not based on the evidence. The QB makes all the difference in the world and if you don't have a top QB you are working with a huge disadvantage.
You should oppose all of this because it was always a horrible argument. Sure you CAN win a ring with Trent Dilfer, but how many times has it happened when compared to teams with a great QB? What the people who made this argument refused to acknowlege is Flacco, Ryp etc PLAYED like top QBs in those championship seasons. Once they reverted so did the team.Yes, there are plenty of people who would argue against your very valid points. (Here are three)
Dan Snyder, Bruce Allen, and Ron Rivera who infamously tried to do exactly that with, Sam Howell, Carson Wentz, Taylor Heinicke, Garrett Gilbert, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Taylor Heinicke, Kyle Allen, Dwayne Haskins (RIP), and Alex Smith.
Btw: that long-term debate was couched in the belief that;
1. Washington wasn't getting one by perpetually finishing 8-8 (16 games back then) an unwillingness to gut their draft by trading up to get one and unhappiness in finishing so badly that they were in the position to draft one without giving up compensation.
2. What they had was "good enough" or "adequate" which without naming names started in 2013 and continued until they finally ended with a 4-12 record and drafted Daniels.
3. That a legacy hire who seemed more inclined to rub elbows with politicians was suitable as a GM.
SN: Yes I'm venting a bit because I opposed all of this.
