Jay Gruden Sucks As Head Coach

I don't understand why you don't think it's both of their faults. It's not like rg3 doesn't ever practice or study film. But he's not learning. Sure some of that is him but some of it is the HC too.

How so? Again, if the student bucks the teacher, how is that the teachers fault? And this is now his third teacher he has had issues with. (Shanahans, Gruden, Cavanaugh)

Griffin has already gotten ONE HC fired. He has another on the hot seat because HE refuses to adjust. You can practice all you want, and look at film until you are blue in the face. But if you are practicing the wrong things, and learning NOTHING from watching film... how is that the coaches fault?? Gruden did everything short of kissing his ass to try and make this thing work for RG3. Hell he might have even done that. But face it, aside from 7 on 7 drills, Griffin has looked LOST. And that aint on the coach.

The only thing I blame Gruden for is not having the spine to move away from RG3 MONTHS ago. Other than that Bobs problems at this point are all of his own doing.

Looked to me like Gruden and his coaching staff put together a helluva game plan yesterday. Coaches coach, and players play. If some of the players had made just one or two more plays out there, the outcome of the game would have been totally different.

Skinsdad - just ignore it. Everything this guy posts borders on the absurd. Remember - he is the guy who still believes that SM will step down because of the situation with his wife. Also - it almost seems like he won't be pleased unless the Redskins make the playoffs this season which is just being ridiculous.

I truly believe that Gruden will get at least this season. After that? All depends. Anyhow - I have to laugh at your statement about who would coach this team in that situation. I will always remember how Marty badmouthed this team non-stop on ESPN yet coached them not much later. As bad as it may get - there will always be plenty of coaching candidates (some actually good) who will take that job primarily because there are very few of these jobs overall.

NOt at all. BUt if we finish 3-13.. who do we hire as the new coach?? Who can we bring in that would guarantee they could bring back RG3?? Because you do realize if Gruden is fired and Griffin is still on the roster at the end of the season, Danny will have no qualms about keeping him and making him the starter again right??

Not in my opinion since Gruden was hired before SM. If Gruden doesn't work out then SM should be the one primarily picking the coach (not Snyder nor Allen). If it occurred like that then you would hopefully be bringing in the right type of coach for the players on this roster & restarting correctly.

Now this could all change if Gruden & his team show promise (not necessarily a winning record) during the rest of this season which is entirely possible.

I do realize that and it scares the shit out of me. That is the only reason I can see for him even being on the roster. But are they really dumb enough to spend $16 mill for another ride on the merry go round? SM is way too smart for that.

IF SM were really that smart and fully in control, he would have dealt Griffin for a 2020 7th rounder the second he cleared the medical hold. The fact that the coach has to come out and say WE will make the determination of what to do with him tells me that Dan still has a big voice in the decision room in at least some areas. And come on, you are talking about the man who gave Albert HAynesworth $46 million in guaranteed money AND signed off on trading away half a draft on a single player. Are we really going to ask how dumb can this franchise be??? LMAO

I didnt say fire him now. But if he doesnt get it together by the end of the year he shouldbe gone.
