Signed a 1 year contract for Vet Minimum.........Good luck to the guy.....so much potential....

Well I would say the swapping of Dlineman with the bears would be heavily in our side as the winners

Vet minimum, huh? We must not even have made an offer. I would have signed him for the minimum for depth, if nothing else.

I would think so too...but for his production...2 sacks in 3 years, and honestly not good against the run..Vet Min might be an overpay.......

Players the Redskins passed up on when selecting Jenkins: Rahim Moore, Justin Houston, and Orlando Franklin. Good think we don't need a FS, premier pass-rushing OLB, or a RT.

I was stumped by the Jarvis Jenkins selection. He should have been available in the third round.

I believe that this now officially leaves Kerrigan & Paul as the lone survivors from the 2011 draft (out of 12 picks - mostly lower). Many of us - myself included - thought that this was a very good draft. Oh well - just confirms that Shanahan was not that great of a pseudo GM.

Socal.. .serious question. In your opinion did Shanahan do ANYTHING right with this team aside from drafting Kerrigan?? just out of curiosity mind you.

Absolutely & I have stated this several times in the past. The main thing that he did was keep Snyder out of the mix for personnel decisions & this is a major prerequisite to where the team stands now including the hiring of SM. He also did implement a good running system, drafted some key picks & did a good job with RG3 until that dread Seattle playoff game.

I am not stating that he is completely horrible. My main point is that nobody - including Shanahan - should ever serve the dual role of coach & GM - it is a recipe for disaster in most cases. Also - as I have said many times - you just don't hire ex-SB coaches to run your team - period.

Like most coaches he did some good & some bad while with the team. However - in no way do I feel that he got the shaft, and I will never feel sorry for a person that was paid $7 million to do nothing. Sorry if that offends anyone.

Shanahan did as well as I thought he would do here, but there was a reason why The Broncos sacked him.

Shanny turned Wash into Den 2.0. An outstanding running game crippled by weak QB play and horrid defenses. That said his method of operating the team was still a step up from Snyders.
