Jalen Hurts injured?

Was saying yesterday that they were running him too much.

Bears had a nice scheme. It was college in nature. Usually the QB reads the end on the line of scrimmage because they usually have QB responsibility in the defense. Bears were giving him a false keep read with the end crashing and the LB and safety replacing outside to account for QB. He got squared up pretty good on about 2-3 hits.

Didn't realize he ran a lot, haven't seen many Eagles games.

I've never been much of a fan of running QB's. Sure they're exciting to watch. But one big hit can change a scrambling QB's career just like that.

Just hope Hurts will be 100% when it matters most.

Hurts had a couple high ankle sprains in college and recovered quickly.
He's a tough and durable kid.

I watched a good part of the game yesterday and I cant imagine that either of these two QB's would be able to continue to run like they are for more than a season or two without missing 25% of the games with injuries. Especially Fields. He is going to get ripped in 2 one of these days. Hurts is a much smarter and lower runner. But both are taking way too many chances of getting landed on like this.

Neither of these guys have as much smarts and elusiveness as runners as Jackson or Vick had who ran but usually avoided bigger hits.

Also waiting for the day that Allen with his size and moxie goes the path of Culpepper. Absolutely inevitable (the injury....not the career regression).

You already missed. Vegas was out ahead of this and that line has flipped. Mahomes is MVP for certain now. Always thought they would give it to him anyway but this seals it. Mahomes really does have less around him. He played a near perfect game and they still needed OT to beat the Texans.

4 in the AM, 3 in the PM and 1 after dinner.

The reality is no QB in the NFL has ever gotten away with it for long. None of these running types have ever won a super bowl.

It's like dipping into that option too much eventually erodes their passing skills and the downward spiral begins.

even a cowboy fan wouldn't compare Hurts to Jackson. Jackson still throws like a high school QB.

Idk, I would argue the pro Hurts line was always built on sand. The last winner to lead in EPA/Play and *not* win the MVP award through week 15 was Carson Palmer in 2015.

Had Dallas held on to win vs. Jacksonville I'd venture to say Hurts would play or at rhe very least be dressed for this Saturday. At this point it's almost impossible for the Eagles not to win the East
