Jake Rodrigues is transferring

Back up QB RS Sophomore Jake Rodrigues is transferring.

That leaves Jeff Lockie as the clear #2 after battling and splitting mop up duty with Jake.

Damian Hobbs appears to be #3.

I truly believe this is similar to Mariota coming into the program with Morgan Mahalak coming to Oregon.

I think in 2015 Mahalak is our starter as a RS Freshman and Jake knew it.

I wish Jake the best, he looked really good in the spring game. I always knew is arm was lightning, but he even displayed some speed and decent running ability.

Both Rodriguez and Hobbs transferring....

Equals the Morgan Mahalak effect.

The same reason Manziel backed out on Oregon committ and Darron Thomas left early, the Marcus Mariota effect.

He is going to San Diego State. He will do really well there.

Mahalak can learn and train under Mariota. Just pray to GOD that Mariota stays healthy this year now that depth and experience at QB has taken a hit. Also, don't want to burn that RS for Mahalak. But if things to go to plan then this will be great. carry the torch.
