I was so worked up about that HP rule yesterday that Jake Peavy's starting role was somewhat overlooked. He was great and I liked that he chose to wear 22 . I heard he wore that number back in his high school days. Of course we all know that was the Clark's (Will & Jack) number. It was awesome to see Peavy show that fire in his belly and represent 22 the right way.

Hopefully a positive can come from the win. The Giants showed a ton of spirit yesterday and needed the win badly. I just wish it did'nt come on a BS call like the one they got. I guess a win is a win but as a baseball fan it just made my gut hurt for the integrity of the sport.

There was a lovely touching article today on the front page of the SF Chronicle Green by John Shea about Alexis Busch the young woman who grew up a huge Giants and Beatles fan. She passed away in a Yachting accident a little over 2 years ago. She spent time as a batgirl and was close to the players especially Bonds. She also loved the Beatles and tonight Paul McCartney plays the last concert at the Stick'. We need more human stories like this in the news. Shea caught the spirit of Alexis Busch and did a quality job in expressing that spirit.
