You didn't even read the story, dude.

Jack Clark wasn't employed by the station and Pujols wouldn't "sue them" them even if he could. Like Lance Armstrong, he said nothing about "suing them." He said he's going to take "legal action" which is ambiguous. A simple Cease and Desist you can file at your local courthouse for $25 is "legal action." It's intimidation and bullying by a cheater meant to appeal to the simpleton masses. He's sending a message that if you mess with me, I'm going to come after you. It worked for years with Lance Armstrong.

Worked on you, didn't it? :D

In California "LEGAL ACTION IS FILING A LAWSUIT" You should know this. In this case Jack made some statements that I seriously doubt he can back up. Pujols might have juiced, but so far he has never tested postive and has never been named by anyone for violations. If Jack Clark wasn't employed by the station then why does the headlines say he was fired? You can fire some one who isn't employed

It is not a question of intimidation that appeals to so much the validation of his "innocence" to us simpleton masses. It is the outrageous "I know for a fact" when you have a third party source that denies it that renders Clarke's assertion silly, ridiculous and out of place.

Especially when his only other source denies it and says he never said anything like that to Clark and backs up Pujols as 100% clean.

Verlander called his statements . Moronic.

I felt albert was juicing. But to call out verlander because his fast ball in the first half was 3 or 4 MPG slower is moronic.

by the way. verlander has been throwing 99 in his last start

The transformation is no less dramatic than Jason Giambi, Slammin' Sammy, Jose Canseco, or Barry Bonds and is much more apparent than A-Rod.

One year, this...

Notice the bald head and massive jaw. Where did THAT come from?

He's the spitting image of Sammy Sosa and even has A-Rod's purple lips.

He's dirty as fuck.

Making absurd statements like that is what has cost Jack Clark almost all of his credibility. He should have stuck to Pujols and more people would believe him.

So I guess when Nolan Ryan went from 100 to 94, he was coming off the juice? :lame:

According to ESPN: Clark indeed was employed by the talk show and Clark made those comments while doing his show. In response the radio station yanked his show and showed him the door.

said on Friday that he will take legal action against Jack Clark after the former St. Louis Cardinals slugger accused Pujols of taking performance-enhancing drugs.
Clark made the accusations on his radio show on WGNU 920 AM in St. Louis. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported early Saturday morning that InsideSTL, the company that puts the show on the air, announced it has "terminated its relationship" with Clark and co-host Kevin Slaten. They had completed only seven shows.
"I am currently in the process of taking legal action against Jack Clark and his employers at WGNU 920AM," Pujols said in a statement released Friday. "I am going to send a message that you cannot act in a reckless manner, like they have, and get away with it. If I have to be the athlete to carry the torch and pave the way for other innocent players to see that you can do something about it, I am proud to be that person. I have five young children and I take being a role model very seriously. The last thing I want is for the fans, and especially the kids out there, to question my reputation and character."

Well it's one thing to say you saw a person juicing, but this is what Clark said

I know for a fact he was," Clark said. "The trainer that worked with him, threw him batting practice from Kansas City, that worked him out every day, basically told me that's what he did

The problem is that Mihlfield has also called Clark a liar and claims he never told Clark that, so if Mihlfeld did say that to Clark in confidence, then it's possible that both Pujols and Mihlfeld aren't telling the truth. It could a situation similar to the good ole boys club in PSU when the leaders were covering the boys getting raped. So far though - Pujols has never tested positive and nothing has been there to indicate his guilt - Lance Armstrong said the same things, but he tested positive and got caught red handed

Okay, last time I'm going to say it then I'll drop it because I know you won't.

Jack Clark was not an employee of the radio station and was not fired. He is simply not welcomed back.

That's a fact, but go ahead and post that quote from Pujols anyway.

The article implies that the alleged conversation between Clark and Mihfield would have taken place before Pujols got to the big leagues and before he was a household name.

Now, both Mihfield and AP are too heavily invested in Pujols' career to do anything but firmly deny.

One thing I would like to see MLB institute is some type of severe penalty to the teams that sign these guys. For example, if the Yankees are able to void Arod's contract, they will be huge beneficiaries. The Angels could hypothetically enjoy similar relief in a few years.

What if all PED users had their contracts voided, but the franchises employing them would still be forced to pay the $ left on the contract to MLB, which would be divided amongst the other franchises? If Selig really wants to clean this thing up, then the teams must be held accountable. Right now clubhouse personnel still have incentive to turn a blind eye. I bet a secondary effect of a rule like that would be to limit the long term mega deals, which could also be good for baseball.

Well all I know is that the article says both Clark and the other guy were both fired. Clark had a talk show on the station, so technically the article should have said his show was cancelled if it was not sponsered by the station and the owners of the show was purchasing the air time from the station owners.

I think Pujols blamed Dino Laurenzi Jr for leaking the information to Clark.

I don't know how this is going to go. I can say I have suspected Pujols, but some superstars have to be clean, right? I also suspect Miggy Cabrera. I just thought I'd throw that out there.

All of these athletes play the "I never failed a test" card. Of course they didn't. The testing policies for MLB suck. The chemists (and in turn, the athletes) are way ahead of the game, so the new synthetic drugs aren't being tested for. They may also make some that leave the body in 24-48 hours.

I agree with the poster that said that the teams should also be held accountable. That may be the best way to ensure that everybody stays clean.

Either way, I hope this is resolved soon.

Just out of general principles, I never trust anyone named 'Dino'.

One thins is certain. Where Tony LaRussa has been there are always power hitters doing amazing things on drugs.

I guess your goal in life is to badmouth as many successful people as possible - pretty pathetic. This attempt is pretty desperate. A basketball coach rags on Pujols & doesn't even spell his name correctly in the process. Yet another reason why Twitter is the loser's tool of choice. What a worthless thing to report (regardless of whatever the situation is with Pujols or other players).
