This thing is blowing up way bigger than I could have imagined. It's transcending sports.

They said that here just 4 days ago after undergoing chemo the tumor had decreased significantly in size. 'Twas surprising and awesome information to hear.

Makes ya damn proud to be a husker don't it? Also makes ya damn happy that this kid and this disease are getting the notoriety that they both deserve

I don't know if I've ever been more proud to be a Husker fan. The titles are the only thing that come close as far as the emotional aspect.

I'm pretty sure I know where they got the idea. A couple months ago Kyler Reed had tweeted out a video of like a D III team playing some pop warner kids for fun and it was just freakin adorable. They did the same thing, letting the kids score, but they pretended to try and tackle them.

We saw a preview of what our defense is going to look like against a few teams this season! Also, I thought it was awesome to see his run and score logged on the final stat sheet.

Word is that it wasn't planned. They (i think it was Taylor actually) came up with the idea about 2 minutes before they did it

So is he doing alright then with his battle? He going to be ok? You know doing things like this for kids reminds me of something the Make-A-Wish foundation does, when kids do something that is their dream, they start feeling better. Miracle things happen. Goes along with boosting their spirits.

I pray that this kid is doing alright and the future is bright for him.

reading through the comments on the ESPN poll is pretty disturbing...though somewhat entertaining. so many people bitching that "it's not even a real play!!!!!!!!"

best response by far- "ESPN Best of the best isn't the nobel peace prize. One guy got it by catching a foul ball in his beer....."

Very Cool that Jack was doing better and I gotta believe that this was something that helped Jack out a lot mentally.

You know anyone that would make a big deal out of it not being a real play has to be a very small person. We did a lot of things that scored pts. during the spring game that are not a part of a normal game ever and if it helps this kid out which I am sure it will it was much better than sticking to just playing a full game with the guys out for the team. Stuff like this helps the people out sooo much. And besides its our spring game.
