Disrespect or just not a team that has a ton of posters chirping. The most heated debates about the Panthers on here were Rock threads about Cam. Most people aren't so dense as to shout "SCHEDULE!" from the rooftops if a team didn't lose like they thought.

As a Cards fan...we certainly won't. I think you see that more from Seattle fans and others. Nothing but respect for a 16-1 team. That's no joke. I mean...duh.

Panthers were the last team I wanted to see...but I like that we have to beat the best to be the best.

Same thing happened to the Seahawks in 2013. Then they won the SB. Then the narrative changed.

To me, no one can take away from what the Panthers have already accomplished this year. That said, unless they at least make it to the SB (and probably unless they win it), they probably will be considered and remembered in the same way that the 1998 Vikes were/are. It's just the way this stuff generally goes.

They were the favorites and still almost gacked an insurmountable lead to a freaking 6 seed at home

They were too busy celebrating, taunting, posing for selfies, and practicing their dance moves and ALMOST let Seattle pull off a miracle win.

That really doesn't endear them to earning some RESPECT intangible thing nobody cares about.
