I'd love to tell you guys in advance what the Bears are going to do, but I swear this is the most wide open draft for our team in years. Not even so-called Bears insiders & analysts are in agreement as to who they're gonna take with the 10th pick. I don't think Membou will still be on the board when we're up at 10, but if he is and if your Seahawks are really big on grabbing him, I could see a tradeback for the Bears, but I doubt your Hawks would move up 8 spots just for a lineman, as talented as Membou is. Altho your boyz are sitting nicely with 5 picks in the top 92.
I think Membou is off the board with either the Raiders or Jets assuming that Will Campbell goes to the Patriots which seems like an obvious fit. Membou at least initially should probably be seen as a RT prospect and maybe flip to LT with experience but he might be the best RT prospect in the draft.

My take on the draft at this point is that if there is an OL that could go high, they'll go high. Normally I look at Campbell and Membou and think they're mid 1st rounders but we're in a draft where almost all of the teams with top picks need offense and the OL are likely the safest picks.

The Raiders will almost certainly take Jeanty IMO, but yeah there’s a good chance the Jets go O-Line. The Pats are interesting - if one of Carter/Hunter is available when they pick will they take them or will they still go O-Line? If they are both gone then yeah I’m certain the Pats go O-Line.

None taken.

I come from the philopshy of Weapons make the QB, not the other. Though i do believe in QB Win you games.
weapons make the qb for average quarterbacks, but for the great qb's, they make the weapons

I do think they Raiders taking Jeanty is chalk. I just also think there is an outside chance the Patriots or Jaguars just take him. In general just outside chance the Raiders justify OL over RB, too, as that is the conventional wisdom. But 70-80% chance the Raiders pick him.

Hunter, Carter and Ward are in their own value tier. There are too many people saying Sanders will drop to make me think he goes top 3. Apparently Derek Carr is still really hurt. This put Sanders into pick 4-9 territory as chalk imo. Is there a market for Sanders outside of the Saints? Steelers dont have much ammo. I think Pats will be forced to stay put and that probably means Campbell.

So for me that means:

Pick 1: Titans - Ward
Pick 2: Browns - Hunter
Pick 3: Giants - Carter
Pick 4: Patriots - ????
Pick 5: Jaguars - ????
Pick 6: Raiders - Jeanty
Pick 7: Jets - Membou
Pick 8: Panthers - BPA Edge
Pick 9: Saints - Sanders
Pick 10: Bears - ????

But the ????s can change the chalk

Jeanty to the Pats would be very interesting, but I think they have too many other needs to take him, if Carter/Hunter are both gone I think they go O-Line, they need to improve it and protecting Maye is a priority - it will probably be Campbell but possibly Membou. I think the Jags will take Mason Graham, they’ve got to improve their weak D-Line interior. The Jets will probably go O-Line although an interesting possibility is TE Tyler Warren to the Jets given that the Jets have no proven TE on the roster and need receiving targets besides Garrett Wilson. If Sanders does fall some he’s not getting past the Saints, in fact I could see the Saints trading up to snag him because they will badly need a QB

The thing about the Jags is that they took Maason Smith as a top 50 pick last year. If the Jags are taking Graham its because they think Graham is the best player imo. 95% of teams take a position as a top 50 pick you assume they wont prioritize it the next year but maybe Graham is an outlier talent.

Jordan Jefferson was also drafted last year and seemingly outperformed Smith. Neither is what you would call elite but the Jags have...2 elite players?

You make interesting points, D-Line just seems the most obvious place the Jags could improve at and Graham is viewed as the best player at that position. Jags could also improve their secondary but I don’t know if any secondary players are viewed as top 5 worthy other than Hunter who’s gone by this pick in all likelihood, Will Johnson might’ve been had he not been injured for much of last season. Same with receiver, they could use another strong target for Lawrence but I doubt any receiver this year is viewed as worthy of a top 5 pick.

Tet McMillan and Will Johnson could both make sense. SS seems like an easy upgrade point on the Jags, too, as does Guard.

Trevor Lawrence had Tee Higgins in college, right? Hmmm...

Regardless, I can't fully rule out Graham, either.

Agreed that Johnson and McMillan make sense but I’m just not sure if the Jags view either of them as worthy of being picked in the top 5. But they are definite possibilities.
