I have thought about this route. Even getting a pizza counter oven.

my problem is that my wife and I like different style pizzas. I love the deep dish style and she is thin crust. so finding a pizza is near impossible so we usually settle for pizza hut which is below adequate. the pizza that I like in our area is similar to Viva Sue that puckhead mentioned and she never likes it.
I'm usually not complaining with either style but sometimes I do want something a little thicker and she won't enjoy it. Of course the easy solution is just make two pizzas.

I'd kill for 90s Pizza Hut but anytime i've ordered it in the last decade it's just not the same and I end up regretting it.

I had a dream about a pizza last night. It was super hot and had curves in all the right places, 360° of them. There she was on the table, slices slightly spread willingly offering me my choice. I chose the nearest piece, a lovely triangle of gladness with just the toppings I wanted. And needed. I was so excited I had to add some toppings of my own and I did - a dash© of red pepper and sprinkle of parmesan cheese. I looked up at my wife, worried that the decision for us to share another would end up being a mistake, but she already had a piece in her hand and the tip in her mouth. I smiled and lifted mine.

Then the dog woke me up because had to take a leak.

Wonder if it was because they decided on their own to pay better or if they were in an area where no one tips and people kept quitting. Either way, I welcome it.

Also, if you don't have Jet's pizza near you, they bill themselves as "The best Detroit style pizza on the planet". Which is a bit like calling yourself the fastest car in the junkyard.

Here's Sunrise
Capicolli and pineapple, as God intended

One slice in the parking lot before the hockey game, 2 on the way home.
Well, there was that little one on the right side, I ate that before as well.

That's how I do it when I make pizza at home. Feels like it produces better flavor when the cheese melts into the toppings.
I like doing that and am usually happy with the results. However I tried doing that to save money, and by the time I buy everything - it's probably cheaper to Judi go buy one.

When I do I pust most toppings under the cheese, any except for any meat.
