I really like the Phillies too, been to a lot of their games when I lived closer. Just been a Yankees fan since around 1957. Wish I still had my Yankees baseball cards from the summer of 1957.
Baseball cards from 1957? Years ago I got some cards from my little brother, he stole them from dome house, there was 2 shoeboxes full. I went into the AF, mom and dad moved, and the cards didn't make it. No one knows for sure but I think they were tossed in the trash.

Yeah, that’s just about what happened when I went into the Navy. Since then, I had a shoebox and a half packed with baseball cards from around 1976 on, mostly Yankees and a lot of their team sets. But now I have given them to my son and his boys and pretty much stopped collecting. I figured the boys, one of whom is a great little league catcher, can enjoy them more than I can.

Hmmmn, the dates you mention make you older than me, I think I need to stop talking about baseball cards before the police show up.

I honestly have no idea of the value he stole, and mom threw away.

Holy shit, I just watched the video. There's no way this would fly in today's political climate. Phil Collins was probably just happy he got to wear a rug though.

I have watched this video nearly every day since you showed it to me. I just made a gif of my favorite part of the video. Excuse the awful gif making, I only did it myself because I couldn't find it online (this is only my second time making one)

lol, yeah I mean it is a catchy tune, even though it does seem shockingly offensive in today's climate

Yeah, I've learned as I've gotten older that just because something was permissible 30+ years ago in society, doesn't mean it's permissible today. It's taken a while though- I'm still getting over everyone being up in arms about my selection of "The Birth of a Nation" for my film club's Black History Month showing here at UD.

Did you check out my thread on the Padres board?

Misused. Did you see that movie?
Doubt it, since I don't recognize the scene nor actor. Looks like one of those '80s Dazed and Confused/Fast Times at Ridgemont High ones that Cedrique likes
