I'm confused, does the potential exist for two AFC West teams to share a stadium? If so, I can't think of a more idiotic scenario. I feel like I must have missed something in the article, but I read it twice, and thats the impression I get. I would welcome an explanation.

SD's gotta cut their losses - The League wants too much, and is itching to get into L.A.. What's crazy is there may be 2 teams there (if I read the 2nd article correctly). This in a market that had difficulty sustaining 1 previously. And aren't the Rams in play, as well?

LA couldn't support the Rams or Raiders before.

So, if both teams are from the AFC West, will they have to move one to the NFC West.

Sad state of affairs to be sure. Is LA the only potential new market they are considering?

If two AFC West teams end up sharing a stadium in Los Angeles, then the plan is that one of them would switch to the NFC West.

That's actually not true. Both teams were well supported before their respective owners tanked the teams after failing to acquire stadium deals. The Rams led the league in attendance for many years.

Just a hunch but if LA had two teams and they were named the LA Crips and the Los Angeles Bloods, it would sell out, right?

Man that totally blows chunks.... Chargers fans deserve better ... I don't think teams should ever leave a city they represent .... Packers organization should serve as a good model for every team too strive for... I do feel LA should have an NFL team, but it should be done a different way ....

Charger fans haven't supported their team... too many blackouts. The Chargers have been trying to get a new stadium for years, only to have the city shuffle their feet. Now it's too little, too late.

I personally want them to stay, but the damage has been done... and the city and their fans are the ones who need to look themselves in the mirror when the Chargers bolt for greener pastures. Quite a few Charger fans I know, will cease to be Charger fans the moment they adopt the "LA" Prefix.

Why do people feel LA didn't support their NFL teams? Were they selling out every game? No, they were middle of the pack in attendance...but the gate is not why the Rams and Raiders left LA.

Both teams wanted new stadiums built on taxpayer dimes and that just doesn't fly in So Cal.

If a team moves to LA and they suck, attendance will again be middle of the pack, but if they win LA will be near the top of the league in attendance.

Every city in the US can support a winning football team. It is the support they get in non-winning years as to how to judge whether or not a city can support an NFL franchise. And in that sense LA fails to pass the test especially when you factor in 2 teams very well could be moving there.

That said: This isn't the 1980's. How many people show up to the stadium on Sunday isn't anywhere close to being as big of a deal as it used to be. An LA team could have only 1000 people show up on a Sunday, and as long as they are getting viewership numbers on TV close to what most NFL teams are seeing these days, and they still would be profitable.

To bad for San Diego, such a good city but after this could only have 1 sports team in the major sports leagues.
