I'm as upset as anyone about this loss, but I still don't figure how anyone can blame this loss all on Griff. YES, he made some poor decisions today (we were spoiled last year by few errors) but overall, there has been improvement every week in his play. Period. Our offense looked more in sync today, not good enough to win but better.

Asking for Cousins is crazy talk. We are seeing improvement weekly (granted not nearly as quickly as we all want it to happen) thus, you do not change the QB.

There are very few skins fans that claim this. You all won cuz you were the better team today, but it is foolish to say the whole team sucked. Enjoy your win and stay classy.

Sorry, I always see the glass half empty, not thrown to the ground and smashed. GB does not have a great running game, but we have been giving up 201yds per game. Yes giving up only 63 yds on 23 carries is stopping the run. We need to start somewhere. We are all to blame for thinking that we would start where we left off last year, but we need to draw a line now and make things happen. This game was winnable today for us. Oakland will be the starting point, then a bye and then Dallas. This is where we can turn the season around. We have better talent this year, so why can't we make the push earlier and make this season interesting.

You realize the Lions started an undrafted free agent from a D2 school at RB right ? Your team is giving up 500 yards per game. RG3 wasn't great today but he was better than he has been and is the least of your team's problems.

Nah - hardly any Redskins fans are making that claim. Most of us know that RG3 is the team's future & that has not changed - certainly not in my view. You were the one claiming that RG3 is "done" which is laughable.

Sure - he made some mistakes today & still needs to make some progress. However - you saw today that he is more than capable of being an elite QB in this league. With or without the running factor - he throws a very good ball (both short & long) & is - by far - the best option to run this offense.

As many here have stated - RG3 is not the major problem. It is that horrible defense. Will that be corrected to any degree this season? Who knows. However - I am pretty confident that RG3 will be leading this team for many years to come. At least he is doing what is necessary to avoid hits thus far which bodes well for the future.

Dude - why can't you just accept the win - say "good game" & move on? Nothing worse than a sore winner. You sound like one of the most negative persons on the planet.

Yes..actually I am. If the runner is down..he is down. JMHO.

I will also say that the similar rule where a player has to have complete control after a catch and cannot break his fall with the ball is complete garbage. You remember when YOUR wide receiver Megatron and YOUR team was screwed just a couple years ago against who was it, Chicago..Minnesota?? RG3's play yesterday is not that much different than the play CJ had that day..only one was a fumble, one an incomplete pass.

Not saying that we got screwed by the refs in this game.. just that the call was crap.

You know what I want to hear him say? This: I'm going to devote 20 minutes after every practice to learn how and when to slide. Then I'm going to devote 10 minutes on how to throw the ball away when trapped on the sideline.

While he may think he is being a leader, the words are hollow at this point. We need to see tangible statements that he/they recognize why they are struggling and are going to devote specific time and effort to rectify it. Its not just him, the entire defense, save Kerrigan, needs to work on tackling and wrapping up a runner. The special teams are not special. Not only do we not have a returner that has the physical skills to make people miss, but they continually make bad return decisions, leaving the offense in the hole. How hard is it to coach a return man to say "put your feet on the goal line on a kick off. If the ball goes over your head, down it. If you catch it at the goal line or forward, return it. If you don't follow my directions, you will be flipping burgers monday morning."

GB had their #1 knock out of the game and their back up that was a 6th rounder in 2010 and has played in 25 games in 4 years. I would put him in the same talent pool as your D2 undrafted rookie. If your guy was that bad then why is he the back up to Bush. He has to have some talent or he would not be in the game. So I do see it as us getting better on the run like we were last year. We still need to fix the passing defense and I hope that if the Offense can get a lead then we can see if the defense can dial up some blitzes and maybe fix this issue.

FLSkinsfan, you understand why we held him to 65 yds, right? We played a cover one the entire second half. This means we stacked the box with 7 and 8 to specifically stop the run with one safety playing deep to cover any big play and the CBs playing man to man on the wide outs. This means the middle of the field was wide open for Burleson and Johnson to run amok. It also left us vulnerable to RBs coming out of the backfield for swing passes and TE dump offs. Detroit saw right through this and killed us with these exact plays.

The first two games we could not stop anything. This game they decided to stop the running game and hope to male plays in the passing game. We gave up 5 drives out of 12 that when for more than 7 plays or 35 yards. Detroit is not some slouch team when it comes to offense. Stafford passed for 5k yards the last two years. He is going to get his yards. We made the decision to not let them control the clock. It worked for most of the game until we had the TD taken off the board and the fumble by RG3. We had chances to take the lead late in the game and could not make it happen. Does our defense need to get Better? YES!!! Does our offense need to put up more points? Yes!! Did we play 3 of the top 10 offenses in the league? Yes. GB is one of the best offenses in the last 5 years. Philly was a new concept and we did not adjust well. Det has been in the top 5 for yards the last 2 seasons. I am not worried yet about the total yards. Oakland should be a better showing and if it is not then it will be time to hit a panic button on the Defense.

It amazes me that people on here put this loss on the defense when the offense scored one TD. lol. Plus the defense scored a TD. Everyone seems to forget that. RG3 should be talked about. Why does he get a free pass? The fumble has to go down as the worst play in the league. It was just embarrassing.

You know what's even more amazing? That you give a defense that now holds the NFL 62 year old record for most yards ever given up in the first 3 games of a season a pass. I haven't seen one person post anything remotely saying that RG3 is playing to the level that he did last year or that he didn't make a couple of huge mistakes yesterday. He did. And they were costly. But even if he is playing well, we still lose more than we win because our defense is the WORST in the NFL. Historically bad. Almost all of us believe that RG3 will come around and play to the level that we all expect, this play of his right now is a result of no preseason and the mental recovery still needed on a severely injured knee. But almost none of us believe that our defense has any chance of coming around unless there is a major shift in something. Scheme, coaching, players, something.

Jeez - get over it already. Cousins is the 2nd string QB & does not - and should not - start for any reason other than an injury to RG3. NFL QB is not an interchangeable position. You act in that manner & there going to be all types of issues both this year & beyond.

Not sure why you don't understand that.
