I thought he had a horrible game. The first INT was on him should have thrown the ball away. Would of led to a field goal. The scramble fumble is something you see on NFL football follies. Are you kidding me? Another scoring drive that we get 0 on. His passing was off. 3rd down pass to Hankerson was behind him. Even the long toss to Robinson the pass was behind him. I know Robinson has to make the catch but the throw wasn't there. The defense played ok enough for a win. Yes there is problems but this loss in on the offense and especially RG3.

Another game where Cousins wins this game for us. He is the better pocket passer and that is what we need right now. I cant defend RG3 at all right now. He played terrible in a game we had to win. God help us if we lose to the Raiders.

You need to get a clue on this. RG3 is not going anywhere. He was much better today then he has been. He is showing that he is willing to run the ball more. This INT was thrown due to the defender turning him as he was trying to throw it out of bounds. Cousins is not a sure thing and he is not as talented as RG3 when he is 100%. This game is a great building block and we need to run more up the middle. This pitch play to Morris is pissing me off. He is a power back and can make more yds straight up the middle then on the outside on a more consistent basis.

Bottom line is that last year the offense was able to carry the defense. This year RG3 isnt the same player, and might not be the same player since they are calling a different game to try and protect him more. If the defense cant at least slow the other team down we will look bad all year long.

Shark, I will have to disagree with you on the defense today. Yes we gave up a lot of yards, but we stopped the run today. Detroit does have a great receiving group and our DB's still need a lot of work. I think we need to run the ball up the gut more to make our play action pass better and we will score more points and keep our defense on the sideline. When we won those last 7 games last year that is what we did. We are still throwing twice as much as we run. Detroit only had 4 drives over 40 yds. The only issue is that they scored on them all. At least we made some tackles today. Oakland will be a much better game for us and that is where we need to get our season started.

Yes giving up only 63 yds on 23 carries is stopping the run. We need to start somewhere. We are all to blame for thinking that we would start where we left off last year, but we need to draw a line now and make things happen. This game was winnable today for us. Oakland will be the starting point, then a bye and then Dallas. This is where we can turn the season around. We have better talent this year, so why can't we make the push earlier and make this season interesting.

Because we have the same shitty defensive coordinator. agree we need to start some where, and that start needs to be firing Haslett. We are giving up an average of over 30 points a game. Thats on the defense.

Average defenses dont give up 500 yards a game. I know you are all in on Cousins starting for some reason. But seriously every GOOD QB in the league has thrown an INT at some point in his career. Our defense hasnt STOPPED any one, period. When your defense is giving up 500 yards and 30+ points a game, it dont matter what the offense does. We are 0-3 because the defense couldn't stop my 99 year old grandmother from rushing for 100 yards in her powerchair.

Did anyone else see the graphic at the end of the game?? The Redskins D has given up the 2nd most yards over a 3 game span (nearly 1500) in the HISTORY of the NFL. While the Offense certainly hasn't been lights out this year, they played well enough to win today. To blame this one on Griffin is ridiculous.

Furthermore, the ground should NEVER be considered as a cause for a fumble....that rule is garbage.

Agreed. Bad luck on the fumble and the drop in the endzone. They played better today at least and are only 2 games back with 13 to play. The sky isn't falling and cousins shouldn't play over Griffin. Bottom line is these guys can't tackle, period! Lombardi always said this game at its core is blocking and making tackles neither of which this team is doing right now. These guys better win next week in the black hole or it probably will be over at that point.

For Det and Philly we did not even give up the most yards in their first 3 games.
As far as GB we knew that we were not close to the Defense that SF and Cin are.
I am willing to cut the defense a little slack for our offense being rusty in the first 2 games and they were on the field a lot. This last game they played OK, but they need to get better. I for one am not throwing in the towel yet. I think we can beat Oak and get to the bye week and come out ready for Dallas like we did last year. We get our players off suspensions and we work the game plan. Morris 20 to 25 times a game. RG3 5 to 7 runs, 25-35 around 300 yds pass 2tds. Defense needs to keep Oak under 350 yrds with less then 100 coming on the ground.
