Once you have Wilson rollout, things become far less certain.

Obviously in hindsight they should have done something else. But neither Bevell or Carroll are blessed with knowing the future.

You do what the other team doesn't expect. Several things failed on that play which resulted in a very tight interception that could have just as easily been called PI.

They broke every golden rule in the NFL on one play

- you don't motion out the best RB in the game and remove him as a running threat

- you don't throw into traffic anywhere near the GL

- you don't leave your seasons' fate in te hands of the worst receiver on your roster

A better receiver at the very least, assures that ball isn't picked

MVP's rarely make one play, shit i cant think of any.

can anyone name an MVP from a prior SB that made literally one play in the game?
one play?....he saved your teams ass twice on the final drive

and larry brown made two plays in which one ball was thrown right at him.

i know

did you miss the part where i typed in english "he pushed kearse out of bounds?"

he was also burned horribly on that play.

again, name me another guy to make 1 play (and even to do so as a late sub) and win MVP.

football "fans" forget he replaced arrington who was being raped all over the field.

It's good to make one ownself judge of all worthy football posts.

1. You do motion out the best RB in the game when you doing a clear out.
2. The middle of the field was NOT crowded. Malcolm Buter was the only player near the play. He made a great play.
3. I would be more sympathetic to this argument if we had Megatron on the other side of the field. But we didn't. We had a bunch of UDFAs. Heck if we had Golden Tate still I would be more sympathetic to this argument. But we didn't. Lockette also had a UDFA who had limited playing time covering him, not Talib and Browner, who plays his best on goal line situations.

where is that packer fan talking about irony?
well, your opinion had no validity.

"the sun is cold i say!"

you need some basis in fact to formulate a proper opinion.

Larry Brown was the first name to come to mind.

Malcolm Smith for the Seahawks as well. Although I guess he had two big plays.

Question: if this is now officially the worst call in NFL history, what was the worst call prior to this?
I nominate Browns vs Raiders, Red Right 88. Kick the damned FG, go to the Superbowl. Instead, throw the ball into the end zone on a freezing cold, windy day, get intercepted, and continue to suck.
