larry brown had more than 1 play, i mentioned him and dexter jackson.

I don't remember the game that well. I do remember Brown's interception. Not sure what else he did.

Malcolm Smith really only had two notable plays.

As coach you put your trust in your QB to make the completion either short of the goal line or for the TD or throw an incompletion.

All of which keep you alive.

ok. butler was a very late sub, which is why i asked.

Malcolm Smith had 34 snaps out of 69 defensive plays.
Malcolm Butler had 18 snaps out of 53 defensive plays.

Smith had a greater percentage but I don't think there is much of a real difference.

Weird that we had two straight Super Bowl MVPs named Malcolm.

FTR, I agree that Brady deserved to win MVP. I just don't find it all that indefensible to suggest that Butler could have won it. His one play DID win the Super Bowl for the Patriots.

No...you changed your tune from this:

"MVP's rarely make one play, shit i cant think of any.
can anyone name an MVP from a prior SB that made literally one play in the game"

That wasn't working so well...so you went with a guy who didn't run through the goal post during player introductions as if those guys can't be a game MVP cause of limited snaps.

Funniest part? You call others dumb.

Onward! He who throws the most shit out from the keyboard is the clear cut winner and smartest in the land.

26 seconds left.

A long drawn out bootleg is not exactly ideal.

They had a timeout. How long do you think that's going to take? 25 seconds? Dumb ass play call.

If they have to burn the timeout on 2nd down, they are FORCED to throw it on 3rd down.

Guy had over 300 yards, 4 tds, over 70% completion, over 100 QBR and helped orchestrate the biggest 2nd half comeback in SB really isn't a flatout joke. Edelman was huge and could have shared in the award. Guy was 37/50, so obviously the offense rested on his shoulders

3 way Sonny. The trifecta. Edelman probably laid his life on the line (Chancellor head shot). Butler was unconscious once he started playing, cause he didn't start. And Brady was Brady, masterful.

So? Look at what happened with that stupid ass play call. I can't believe that Wilson wasn't given the opportunity to roll and make the decision vs. the garbage they call. That's what you do with a franchise QB. You let him make the decision with the game on the line.
