Which also proves that GB fans should be livid that their ownership has lerxthen down for so long by not surrounding him with more talent. This would be like the Bulls winning one nba title with Jordan

The Rodgers-Jordan comparison is valid in the greatness department, but basketball is 5-on-5. There are so many more moving parts in the NFL that all have to be perfectly synchronized to have success. Jordan had a lot less guys to carry, was always on the court to help control all aspects of the game and had one of the top coaches in NBA history as well.

That said, you bet your ass Packers fans would've certainly liked to have hit on a few more defensive draft picks than we have in the last decade and last night most of us were thinking "I wish we would've offered a little more for Mack".

Yes. They played conservative on both sides of the ball, after playing very aggressive in the first half. Like I already stated, they coached not to lose instead of, to win.

I strongly disagree. I feel like if Kizer was still out on that field and not Rodgers, the Bears would be 1-0 right now.

That's what happen in football @Terry Rode, good teams make good adjustments at halftime, and bad teams don't.

But the Packers without Rodgers isn't a good team. The adjustment the Packers made was putting Rodgers back on the field.

Hmm, I guess that adjustment just wasn't working before he got hurt, huh? You are oversimplifying things.

Well, no fucking shit...Rodgers is better than Kizer, huh?

Astute observation.

You're right, they coached not to lose, it's way too common when an underdog leads big in a game they were supposed to lose. They forget what got them that lead and coach just to hang on for dear life, it comes back to haunt them much more than not

Their defense really flattened out it's coverage and dared the Bears to go over the top of them, and the Bears didn't. We either ran into heavy fronts or kept trying little screens. We didn't try to keep the pressure on. Nagy tried to take the air out of the ball and babied his young quarterback til the pressure was at it's highest, at which point Trubisky couldn't handle it.

The Bears had a million chances to win that game and they didn't. They deserved to lose it for sure.

Not a QB comparison, a team comparison. Without Rodgers the entire team falls apart, defense included.

Just saying that the Packers ALWAYS seem to play as a well oiled machine when Rodgers is healthy, whether it's the defense of the offense. I don't think it's a coincidence.

Yes, because all the "well it's a team sport, one player doesn't make a team" comments piss me off. Yes, it's a team sport, but you take Rodgers away from the Packers and you have a shitty team that can barely muster up a winning season.

A few years ago Rodgers binkie (Jordy Nelson) went down and the Packers sucked.

Your thread should have been about the choke job the Bears and their coaching staff pulled in front of a national audience last night.

They sucked in 2015? Jordy was hurt in the preseason and they started out the season 6-0, ended up 10-6 and lost in OT to the Cardinals in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Don't think that's the definition of "sucked".

You gotta give Tom Brady some love there, he's a HUGE factor for the Pats as well .... Look at Denver since Manning retired also, haven't made the playoffs since... Elite QB's change the face of a team ...

It's too bad Rodgers is a self-important head case. If he was a better leader maybe GB wouldn't only be 8-6 in the playoffs.

When Brady got hurt in 2008, at least the Patriots had a winning season and almost made the playoffs with Matt Cassel. Trevor Siemien led the Broncos to a winning season the year after Peyton retired and almost a playoff birth. Packers barely finish .500 without Rodgers. 2013, Rodgers went down after the Packers were 5-2, they ended the season 8-7-1. Last year, Rodgers was hurts after a 4-1 record, ended up finishing 7-9. 15-15-1 without Rodgers, due to injury, since 2013.

Pats did have a decent year when Tom got hurt, but overall they were a good team at that time, some of these Pats teams have weak defenses, no running threats, but yet they're in the AFC title game or Super-Bowl year after year... Some of these Pats teams would be sub .500 without Brady, and definitely not good playoff teams, or Super-Bowl caliber teams..

I agree with that. The Patriots have only had 2 1,000 yard rushers since 2011 and only 5 since 1999.
