We're a rare breed here. LOL. My mindset is to support whomever is out there playing. It's the job of the coach, the GM and/or Jed to make personnel changes. If we go with Gabbert, I'll hope for his success.

For real. Totally agree. I'd like to see Gabbert play if Kaep has a terrible first half. Or even when the game is out of reach. Play backups and evaluate. Pittsburgh's 3rd quarterback was able to score on Arizona and won.

how am i trolling i said i some what agree with. wow this kid is losing it. atleast u finally see the light. what u mention is what i been saying all along. welcome aboard. 1) oline2)coaching3) QB. took u long enough.

I am gong to do this one time because clearly you have not been able to read my posts, so i am going to go back and quote myself from a couple of earlier posts on this subject. I also will be including links after quotes for added evidence.

we need to go qb. If davis unretires and can regain form and martin is a better guard than center and kilgore comes back healthy then the oline will be ok. However, kaep is not the guy, he just isn't

That isn't what anyone is saying. We all agree that the o-line is terrible but when you have issues at qb like this you do not draft an o-lineman first. Purguy is suggesting we should address o-line before qb and that is absolutely ridiculous. Even if we draft goff in the first round i would advocate sitting him for a year due to him playing out of shotgun and not taking snaps from behind the center at cal. Purguy is also a Kaep apologist from my point of view because even when we had good o-line play i.e. 2013 season he was still staring down receivers, overthrowing/underthrowing wr's, and throwing footballs at the ground like a drone strike in syria.

i agree im ok with benching of kap if he struggles next week. i just hope after this year they fix the oline, coaching and then get our future QB. i still think kap has a shot in this league it just might not be with us. he has shown he can win with a good core.

what about 2013.
we didn't make it to the superbowl in 2013 and we lost in 2013 because kaep self destructed in the 4th quarter despite being a better overall team than seattle. In fact if kaep didn't have shit games during the colts and panthers we probably go and win the superbowl.

No i did not, i said it can help. Find me a post where i said that drafting a qb will fix the o-line and coaching. a good qb can help an o-line out and by kaep being as shitty as he is, he doesn't do any favors for the o-line. Having a good qb can make up for some poor play calling or one smart enough to make audibles at the line and call plays. An offense that does not punt the ball every four play also helps the defense because they aren't on the field all the damn time gasping for air.

How many times do we have to do this dance? We made it to a nfc championship and lost to the superbowl champs in 2011 too. Are you going to sing the praises of Alex Smith?

we're not going to keep Kaep because he was part of that 2012 SB team. are you nuts?!

It is all about 2015, not 2012.

Yes he is. He is off his rocker. He has fallen and refuses to get up.

I think so. Drew Brees didn't do too well with the Chargers but did ok with the Saints.

drafting a QB or picking a back up in FA is not going to help unless u fix the other parts 1st (oline, coaching). even with brady or rodgers on our team this is at best a .500 team. how dont u see that.

O-line sucks. Coaching sucks. GM sucks. Ownership sucks. All true but Kap would have a hard time playing for a college team at the moment. He has reached his best level and it isn't close to NFL caliber. Let him play out the season and maybe the 9ers can get a decent trade for him. Gabbert isn't the answer either but he is cheaper. As far as a desent QB prospect in the draft...we are fucked! :L

no one is saying to 100% keep him. if they dont fix the issues its pointless to bring in another QB with the same situation.
