Panthers got jobbed. Dude with the puck in the Isles zone with the net empty got tripped. No call.

Then the Isles score ~20 seconds later.



Too bad someone wasn't a quarter inch offside...

Two trips to pick from, but the one on Trocheck was so obvious. He had the puck, Martin takes out both legs, plain sight. Like Dacks said, it's typical. "We can't call that with a minute left! I don't want to have a direct impact on the game!" Well, you just did pretty dramatically, so.

Kinda in a weird spot. The Barclay thing doesn't seem like it's going to last, Nassau revamped but it'll be too small for NHL to approve (probably), and there's word of options elsewhere (Queens I think?), but none are great choices.

Might be just me but a goalie giving up two goals on 50 shots in a double OT game is not the one to blame. Also it was a pretty nice goal.

Oh don't get me wrong, He played amazing and Tavares's goal was a thing if Beauty. But 2 small mistakes cost his team.

1) Always cover up the puck. You leave a open puck in the blue. It's going to be a goal
2) Don't over commit. Let the Scorer come to you.

Well, rough series for the Panthers. Series was 2-1 in their favour in regulartion, but 3-0 for the Islanders in OT. Other than going 7 games, doesn't get closer than that.

I want to give a shout-out to a kid who grew up down the street from me. Rookie D Mikey Matheson only had a few games under his belt before the playoffs started but was given big minutes and I think he performed admirably. Curious to see what any Panthers fans think of him. (Are there any here?)
