Agreed. Just an otherwise unknown kid, who is in phenominal shape, and has a ton of physical gifts. Whether or if there is something else helping him, I myself will choose to wait for it to be proven to pass any sort of judgment.

Sorry. I tend to get defensive anytime I get lumped into a group of anybody/anything. A pet peeve, as I tend to be/think/act different than most.

As such, I will just try to gently slide back to my previous position of - innocent until proven guilty.

I'm not accusing him of anything but being over 22. As for the PEDs, I'm drawing my own conclusions based on overwhelming evidence. Hundreds of guys never failed a drug test and they weren't taking designer PEDs', they were taking horse steroids so that doesn't mean anything. I hope I'm wrong, but...

Like I said, I'm just asking questions and I hope my personal assumptions are off-base. If I am, Puig is a rare player indeed. Inhuman in fact to be able to smash records set by career juicers.

Agreed. Unless youre an American on their rookie contract who's family isn't made up of only children. If I won 5mil at an Indian Casino tomorrow, Id quit my job. But I couldn't "retire". I assume Puig, and many islanders are older than advertised. But Idk about PEDs. Chris Shelton also had an incredible month once. And I assume a number of guys are going to need Wikipedia to "remember" who he is/was. If YP is still destroying pitching after the deadline, I'm going to need to see he's been tested or Id be inclined to think Brady Anderson over Willie Mays from him. But I'd also like Selig & company to wait, as I don't own him in a keeper league, yet.

Just me being me. I have no interest in being mean to anyone. I just try to understand what is behind what people say, without trying to impart any part of me in the equation.

In this case, it was, IMO, the quick jump to think Puig is using. My feeling is that, he of course could be. However, not knowing what prompted the feeling, I was trying to mine for info, but without being offputting.

Impossible to judge anyone based on appearance. Some people are just physical freaks of nature.

I used to work with a kid who is in college now. When I met him, he was in 10th grade, 16 years old.

He stood 6'8" and was built like LeBron. He had never lifted a weight in his life.

Puig could be cheating, one way or another, but like Big D says, it is possible that he isn't. Innocent until proven guilty.
