Same here. Wonder if they will even come close to this run again?

No.

No one will.

The funny thing is this is their weakest team in 2011 at least, and if not then, 2007.

The difference is they didn't lose to a generational type talent like a Candace Wiggins, Ogwumike, Diggins or Griner.

They lost as a 22 pt favorite to a laughably inferior team.

That basically never happens.

It was a fluke.

But seeing 4 of the 5 starters with brown stains in their shorts would do just about any team in.

Gabby was flat out heroic. And not putting the ball in her hands for the LAST SHOT at the end of OT was really my only complaint, but even Geno said the ball was not supposed to be in Chong's hands there.

Sometimes your seniors can be stupid too.

It should've lasted longer.

This is an embarrassing loss for the program.

They played scared and tentative all night.

Didn't see game but I'll take your word for it... But then again, it couldn't have lasted forever

22 point favorites.

538 gave them like an 87% chance to win.

But only 1 player played normal. The rest were afraid.

This is a bad loss. There's no other way about it.

Everything didn't go right for them and their 2 first team all americans folded. They had legit gripes, but this game had no business being close. At all.

I watched the end of the game at a bar. They played some MMA match and people were hollering and screaming, and then they put on the UConn game and people were like ... meh.

Personally, I would rather watch a worse game with a lot of meaning (last night's game), than well played basketball that has no meaning ... lets say tonight's game versus the Magic and Nets.

All in all, it was pretty entertaining. Don't know if I could have watched the whole game tho.

It was definitely not the game to help women's BB.

It was a slog.

A lot open shots were missed by everyone.

Sloppy play.

UConn had a chance to basically win the game in regulation and 2 players literally ran into each other giving MSST the chance to win.

Competitiveness is what compels people to watch though. And it was a good competitive game.

A lot of times, even with the men, I watch them blow a 3 on 1 fastbreak, and I'm like ... how?

They rarely do that in the NBA. I watch college basketball because the competitiveness is typically higher.

They lost and nobody cares. This shows the plight of women's basketball.

That's true.

That's also why I've said they won't move the 3 point line back to NBA distance (for MCBB).

It would make the game far less competitive. NCAA tourney upsets usually live and die by the 3 ball.

Played afraid or just didn't 'have it' last night? This is why upsets happen and what makes sports so great. Uconn fans may not be happy, but what happened last night is good for the game. What fun is it for everyone else when it's the same team winning it every year. Men's CBB isn't much better... it's the same loaded teams every year.

They didn't have it for sure.

But they also played tentative, lost out a lot of those 50-50 balls and got dominated on the boards.

They had those deer in the headlights look. And missed a lot of FTs when they're really good FT shooters.

Only Gabby brought it.

I cannot say enough good things about Gabby Williams.

She should win MOP of the FF despite playing one game. She was legitimately a one woman show last night.

It's hard to watch when that happens, but some night are like that.

I knew Collier was in trouble when she was forgetting her pre-shot routine on a key FT. That she missed badly on.

The focus just wasn't there..? I guess one bad game out of 111 isn't bad!

IMO, more people will sit and watch more of the Championship game now that UConn is out. I won't watch the entire game, but will catch some minutes. I would watch zero minutes if UConn was playing.

If I could've voted "who cares" numerous times, I would have.

I'll take that bet.

I bet you it doesn't even get the ratings of last nights game.

They were scared.

All except Gabby. Who dominated. They had no answer for her. My biggest complaint about Gabby's game last night is she didn't take enough shots.

Those 2 big girls had zero chance of stopping her from getting to the rim.
