All the talk about all these teams going after Dwight Howard. Is he really worth it?

Love some of the new stuff that came out of Dwightmare's mouth last week.

Y! SPORTS

"When I came back from my shoulder injury, some didn't think I was giving my all," he said. "And nobody wanted to hear what I said about coming off back surgery. It wasn't fair to me. I was on a walker and four months later playing basketball. I played hurt."

On free throws: "I have only one problem and it's between my ears," he said. "I just think too much."

He no longer cares what anyone thinks: "I can't do it anymore," he said. "I can't please everybody."

On free agency: "It's free agency and I have the opportunity to choose where I'm going to play," he said. "God opens doors, and I'm relying on my faith to direct me. ... "I don't think it's fair I get criticized for waiting on such an opportunity."

My thoughts:

#1: Any time an athlete starts playing the God-card, it's time to cut bait and run. I'm sure God will tell Dwight, just like he told Josh Hamilton, to go where the money is.

#2: Where he says "some didn't think I gave my all", go ahead and replace the word "some" with the words "Kobe Bryant". Kobe does not accept laziness. He wouldn't accept it from Shaq and he samn sure won't accept it from a guy who has never won anything of any significance.

#3: I'm just happy he's not on the Spurs radar. We don't need that kind of drama on our team. Good luck to whoever signs this guy, especially to that team's head coach. You are going to need it.

And if the team he wants to play for only offers him $215M he'll get mad at God like Pujols did. These guys are douchebags of epic proportions.

It seems the more and more I don't want Howard, the more and more likely he's going to become a Rocket :L

He would make you guys instant contenders, easily top 3 in west.

He has been a prima donna last couple years and injured. Performance will erase all those doubts, just like how the world is already slowly starting to dangle from LBJs dick when a year ago they could do nothing but hate.

Any team that could get him would be a serious upgrade. If he leaves LA you will see why for the next couple of years.

The Cavs have monies. We'll trade Varajao and Zeller, sit tight next year, and then wait for Lebron.

Kyrie Irving
Dion Waiters
Lebron James
Tristan Thompson
Dwight Howard

The only thing that would beat the Cavs would be injuries, which with DH and Irving would be inevitable. Still, if healthy they would go 82-0.

That team would not be as good as you think. Defensively, they would be special, but guarding them would be pretty easy for a good defense. Where are the shooters to space the floor? You have 2 unskilled bigs who can't make a mid-range shot. Waiters, Irving and LeBron are all capable of making shots, but they are much better driving and creating.

You would see a lot of 78-75 games with that team. Not exactly exciting basketball.
