Sorry about your mom. That is so hard when they are so young. Cancer is an epidemic in this country and yes, they are making a lot of progress. My wife was given 5 years but it has already been 7 and if we can solve the sickness issues she could get a few more. She has had 3 debulking surgeries. Basically they remove all your unnecessary parts. 7 years ago there were only 5 specialists around the country doing that. Now there are more as it has proven to add years to life expectancy. Dr. Mann from UW is moving to Texas. He and Dr. Holbrook in Spokane might be the best in the world. Locally they are mapping the DNA of different cancers and that has a lot of potential. Instead of a scattergun approach they will directly target each type of cancer.tell me about it. lost my mom to it at the age of 52(pancreatic). one prayer I always have at the forefront is I truly hope to God they find a cure for cancer...
keep the faith, bro...
I feel for people who do not have any insurance. This stuff is not cheap. Chemo is over 30k a session. the surgeries and hospital stays easily run into the hundreds of thousands. What helps is people leave a portion of their estate to cancer research. Especially those who have benefited from it. We may never cure it because we are all surrounded by cancer causing agents in the workplace, in the air and our water supplies. And even under our kitchen sinks and in our garages. What we can do though is identify those agents and find ways to combat them once they get a start in the body.
