They don't even worry about being under extra scrutiny thanks to scandal after scandal after scandal that they either get a wrist slap for, or get away with entirely.

I get that corruption happens in all sports, but I marvel at how blatant it is in this particular league.

The key is you must cheat constantly so that it becomes expected and accepted and then you are allowed to get away with it. It's only the "part time" cheaters that get held to task. It's the slot machine syndrome.
