Elliot and Pollard ........12 carries for 25 yards
And the COWBOY'S Oline was supposedly healthy.

The COWBOYS in losses...........Elliot and Pollard (combined) average in losses..........15 carries per game......55 yards per game

In the 9er game Elliot had 31 yards rushing on 12 carries
Tony had 14 yards on 4 carries

How many Oline penalties were there?

QB - Played poorly, period
RB - No burst, wrong guy starting
WR - No one stepped up, Was Lamb at the game?
TE - Dalton was very good
OL - Williams is horrible, only Martin earned his money
DL - Solid rush, terrible vs run, Gregory is a nitwit
LB - LVE had some nice tackles(but he gone), Parsons was lost vs misdirection scheme
DB - Most of the time on 3rd down it was pitch and catch
K/P - We have a Hell of a punter
Coaching - McCarthy is a liability, moment was too big for Moore, Quinn had no answers for Shanahan
Owner/GM - He won't get out of the way so expect more of the same

If they want to have a great run game, they'll also need to start giving the ball to their best back..and that ain't Zeke. Though he is a gutsy, balls out pass blocker. Still gotta give him that

The COWBOYS, are going to have to score a lot points and be ahead in games (protect our defense) to be successful in 2021.
The defense needs great help to be competitive.
The offensive line, is the key to having a great running game, for Zeke and Tony.
Dak has to be protected.
Our GM (who ever it is) has pretty much ignored the Oline.

Some of us, warned about this problem, a couple of years ago.

Tyron Smith, has only started, 65 out of the last 91 games. (counting post season)
He hasn't played a COMPLETE season since 2015. (and he won't this season.)
They knew about the medical issues with Travis Fredrick.
And Collins hasn't shown much.
How many different combos of Olines have the COWBOYS had, in the last three seasons?

The depth with the Oline is pathetic.

If they could talk Martin into playing LT, they could start McGovern at RG(his best position), leave Tyler Smith at RG, and roll like that. Would be their best in house solution. But I don't think Martin will do it. I think Tyler Smith is going to be the left tackle opening night. Good luck son

I think you are correct that Smith will be the LT for the year. Dallas will certainly attempt to flil the hole or any offensive line issue internally. Why use available cap space, to try and acquire help?

Everyone knows that you cant replace Tyron's skill level but to not bring in a couple guys that you can work in, that can help and give depth is beyond silly.

Supposedly Alex Leatherwood may be either cut or traded. Maybe a change of scenery would help him? He is huge and probably could play LG if Tyler is moved to LT. It would be a major mistake to not bring in reinforcements ..

I would like to see them trade for Isaiah Wynn from the Patriots. They said he is available. His contract is $10 million this year but the Cowboys have the space. I liked him coming out of college. The Cowboys supposedly thought he was too small for LT, but he has played the position well when healthy. He would be a nice long term add but of course Jerry is probably fantasizing about Tyron playing till he is 40 despite his body falling apart at 31

Tyron Smith's ISSUES are not new.
Since 2016..........Smith will have missed 43 Games (out of a possible112 games ........if you count this season's 11 games... TIL DECEMBER maybe)
He hasn't played in a complete season SINCE 2015.
At what point, did Jerry understand that?

I think Steele was put on notice. They could easily put Peters at RT if Steele keeps getting these penalties. I would prefer that Steele corrects this though. I prefer Peters at LT and Smith at LG. They could run behind that. Run Zeke more than 10 times!!
