The COWBOYS, are going to have to score a lot points and be ahead in games (protect our defense) to be successful in 2021.
The defense needs great help to be competitive.
The offensive line, is the key to having a great running game, for Zeke and Tony.
Dak has to be protected.
Our GM (who ever it is) has pretty much ignored the Oline.

Some of us, warned about this problem, a couple of years ago.

Tyron Smith, has only started, 65 out of the last 91 games. (counting post season)
He hasn't played a COMPLETE season since 2015. (and he won't this season.)
They knew about the medical issues with Travis Fredrick.
And Collins hasn't shown much.
How many different combos of Olines have the COWBOYS had, in the last three seasons?

The depth with the Oline is pathetic.

Who had 2 days after a bad loss for Star to show up in the pool?

Someone else may be able to find a more recent ranking but here is thru week 6. Guess who is #1

The COWBOY'S Oline in the last 4 games:

Has allowed 10 sacks (5 in the last game)
Has had 100 yards in penalties (11).

The COWBOY'S have averaged 88 yards rushing per game.
The COWBOY'S offense, has scored 2 TDs total, in the last 2 Losses.

A supposed COWBOY'S poster, posted this, during the COWBOY's / Chief's game

"If only our offensive line weren’t getting their asses handed to them.

Vs. Raiders..........Oline 25 yards in penalties............only 1 sack allowed.....Dak has been sacked 17 times this year
This season, Dak has been pressured about 1 out of every 5 pass attempts (drop backs)....blitzed 115 times

Zeke and Tony...........vs Raiders, total rushing yards together...........19 carries 61 yards

In the last 4 COWBOY'S losses.....Zeke and Tony together ..........average 63 total yards rushing

It's not Zeke's and Tony's problem........It's the Oline's blocking

Tell you what, dumbass… you want to quote me then quote me in the context of my post. The Cowboys offensive line got their asses handed to them the entire game against the Chiefs. Maybe prior to posting my comments next time as opposed to quoting them, try comprehending what I posted.

In the meantime, go fuck yourself.

According to a The Landry Hat article,
The COWBOYS, in their losses, have run the ball less than 20 times in a game. (Zeke and Tony put together)

In their wins, the COWBOYS have run the ball more than 20 times a game..............

this doesnt really tell us anything.
When we play with a lead we try to run down the clock which means we run more.

There are several reasons why the Running game has struggled over the past Month:

Injuries and Covid on the OL

Zeke sprained Knee in Panthers game. Still bothering him and he is less effective.

Coop and Cee Dee out. Teams not as concerned about the vertical passing game and keeping a safety at the LOS. Coop draws double coverage often.

Let's not forget all these runs that get called back due to holding.

I think their best OL when everyone is healthy might be with Collins kicked inside to guard

We better be in the hunt for a LT next year as well. Even if Smith starts the season next year. He is long in the tooth & I would love a smooth transition in that position When Smith goes down next year. Then in a perfect world he gets Wally Pipped by our new guy. :thumb:

Yes the huge amount of carries in the Saints game (20) you state as if it was why we won, but above you stress only running it 19 times in the Raiders game as if it was why we lost. Fans with agendas remain the worst kind of fans... :L

I think they need to move McGovern back to FB. The running game was doing well with that lineup. They also got to stop the run... got to let Parsons be at MLB to stop the run and get his sacks on blitzes. They got to shut down the WFT run game if they want to win this game. Cowboys getting back Gregory,Gallimore, Hill and DLaw at the perfect time

As the Patriots demonstrated last night, the Oline and the run game, really matters.

great game plan by the Patriots

50 MPH winds
Cold
drizzly / snowy

The Patriots threw the ball ONCE in the first half.
They threw the ball THREE times total in the whole game for 19 yards.
They ran the ball for 222 yards.
They basically, ran the same play time and time again.
The G lead ........off tackle

It shows, that a great running game plays and travels well in bad weather.

What does a great Oline look like

Tuinei, Newton, Stepnoski, Gesek / Gogan, Erik Williams.

and today's Zac Martin IS great enough to have played on that Oline

at a certain point

When Emmitt Smith had 20 carries or more per game.........The COWBOYS had 62 wins and 8 losses
When Emmitt Smith had 100 yards or more per game.........The COWBOYS had 43 Wins and 5 Losses
