I know there was 5 in 1983, Raiders, Broncos, Seahawks, 49er and LA Rams.

There is a good chance Seahawks, 49ers, Broncos, Chiefs and Chargers all make it. However, I think there will be two teams coming from the AFC south, so there will probably only be 4 from the West divisions.

And the Patriots are one Brady hit away from being the Jaguars.

 probably not THAT bad. Maybe the Raiders, though.

I would say the Patriots are the only true powerhouse left on the East Coast. Miami looks better but still not quite there. Otherwise who else would anybody want to actually take from those divisions and call them actually Superbowl contenders? I know the season is early but the AFC West is just making the NFC East look like a joke and although Buffalo and the Jets have looked better than I thought they would I think all know they are nowhere near Superbowl contenders or even really playoff contenders.

Good luck convincing Massholes and other East Coasters that West is best. The west could put 6 teams in the playoffs and they would still try to argue.

We'll just have to revisit this at the end of the year.

The same horrible Cardinals team that beat the Patriots in Gillette Stadium last year?

I think he's talking about the Cardinals team that lost 11 of their last 12 games last year.

The top is better. We agreed to that. But giving the chargers or any of the other teams that would be needed to make it six a shot is a good joke.

But does that mean the bottom is worse say the Chargers go 9-7 isn't that a pretty darn good mark for a 3rd in the division team? now yes I understand they have not got that record but they seem to have the ability as they have been in every game they have played so far this season even against some playoff possible teams. They also right now boast through the first 4 games in the NFL the 2nd best quarterback in Phillip Rivers (just threw up in my mouth a bit).

I guess the question becomes From top to bottom would you take the AFC East or AFC West?

To me I would take the Chargers over the Bills or the Jets. Both have good defenses but quarterback play is horrendous. I just trust teams with better quarterbacks as they seem to make up for the deficiencies of other players.

Now the Raiders I would say would probably finish last in the AFC East right now but I think they could hang with the Bills or Jets and maybe only finish 1 or 2 wins behind.

Now the NFC East I don't know how anybody could argue against them being the worst division in the NFL. So in reality when you combine the NFC and AFC East and compared all their teams to that of the AFC and NFC West I think just about everybody would take the West over the East.
