Rodgers and Peyton couldn't beat Seattle and he did. @Arizona, Seattle is about as brutal as 2 weeks get and still over 7.0 YPA.
I wouldn't say he's the best but he's jumping up the list right now, especially if he keeps this up
Rivers lost some of his career due to Norv Turner still running the '92 Cowboys offense for too long in San Diego.
That offense is fine when you have a top notch workhorse running back and a serviceable offensive line. Once LT started falling off, it was only a matter of time.
If you really watch Rivers...I don't think anyone consistently fits the ball in tighter windows on down field passes. He's absolutely sick.
That said, you can't say he's the best QB in the game. Those years where he was forcing all those throws which resulted in a ton of INT's still count against them, even though the offense he was running had played out. He's clearly the best QB of that draft class of his, but I do suspect had Norv been given the boot when needed, he'd be universally considered in the Manning-Brady-Rodgers-Brees class.
