Is Max Scherzer finally experiencing his Roy Halladay style drop off?

Kershaw has shown signs of decline at least in terms of strikeouts (he currently has his lowest K/9 since 2008, and the league strikeout rate was also way lower then and he was only 20) and home runs. Still quite good and capable of going 6+ regularly (which is becoming rarer and rarer in this era).

This is the 44th time Max Scherzer has struck out 10+ while allowing 0 or 1 earned run. Only 6 pitchers in MLB history have ever done that more times:
Randy Johnson (108)
Nolan Ryan (106)
Roger Clemens (67)
Pedro Martinez (65)
Sandy Koufax (54)
Curt Schilling (47)

He struck out 15 the other day

9-7 with 3.76 era and a CGSO last year:suds:
Which is better than most teams against him. He also had 2 starts against us last year where he allowed 5+ runs, but an honest take is asking entirely too much. :suds:

So only one year counts as a career? His numbers are still pretty good against the Braves, but compared to other teams his ERA and other numbers are worse.
not the red sox
4-5 5.90 era:suds:

Braves have given him some issues, but 129 innings spread over a bunch of seasons isn't a very reliable sample size IMO.

That’s taking into account 2016 when Freddie Freeman was our only offense and he went 5-0 against us

Scherzer now with 14 consecutive quality starts including 10 that are ultra-quality starts ( 7+ innings, 2- runs). He's still in his prime and locked in for another CY
