Johnson has it down to two teams he wants to go to...San Diego and the Giants.

Only question is how much $$$ and is he healthy enough to last a whole season.

I think the Giants could get him for a little less like they did with Hudson.

If we get Johnson then Gaudin goes back into the bullpen as the long man and the Giants fill two holes with one move.

Next on the list would be Javy Lopez.

would we do what the gA's did with Ben Sheets? would a 1yr/10 mill be do-able for the Giants? would JJ want more money?

I think it would have to be a 2 yr contract but maybe for a little less cash than elsewhere.

Shulman was saying Johnson would want to take a 1 year deal to prove he's healthy and up his $$$s

The question is how much $$$ but I would go for a 1 yr deal if the price is right. Come on down Josh Johnson !

It should be an incentive filled contract

If the Giants make another move with their starting pitching it will interesting to see how fast Ned Colleti responds maybe with Tanaka.

I can feel this itch that Colleti is ready to pull the trigger on a pitcher.

Game on !

Beat L.A. !

Why would JJ sign that, when he can get guaranteed money from another team? He's already betting on himself with a one year deal, he's not going to sign for cheap with incentives too.

Tanaka may be stuck in Japan; MLB and the Japanese league are at an impasse over the posting system.

Thanks for the info.

It might be a blessing for the Giants that Tanaka stay in Japan for at least another year.

get it right, man -- it's the "A'ss."

eh, gotta switch it up sometimes.

I have a friend whos a Cowbitch/A'ss fan, and he would always refer to the NY Giants as the Vagiants, which i thought was hilarious...until he used it on us.

Yeah, because (he says) "they are both close to my home, Las Vegas". Bullshit. Because they are two extreme pitchers parks, so with a one-year deal he can drastically up his value.

Perhaps this is our competitive advantage niche.

Possibly so, yes. I think we talked about this before, how we have to overpay hitters to come here. Maybe we can underpay pitchers for the same reason.
