If anything, Jordan was being unselfish when he chose to retire for the first time. After all, he gave Doors' hero Scottie a chance to be an undisputed leader. During that 1993-94 season, the media attention was focuses on someone other than him for a change.

...to be an NBA fan and hate both the Lakers and the Heat? Because from the cloth I'm cut from, we've been preached loyalty and teamwork here in NW Indiana. I just can't stand how these two teams have watered the league down for the last 5-10 years and even before LeBron arrived in Miami.

These two teams are bandwagon paradises and it hasn't always even been about the said team's success. Most of it is individual bullshit. From Kobe to LeBron to Shaq to Wade. I mean, I'm a Jerry Stackhouse fan but you don't see me becoming a lifelong Pistons fan because of it. In fact, I hated the Pistons with a passion during the years they were rivals with the Pacers. Their CEO at the time, Tom Wilson, was caught smiling during an interview with Jim Gray at the conclusion of the fight at the Palace. I still wonder how much he bribed Mr. $tern into suspending Artest for the season.

Loyalty and teamwork matter, kids.

I grew up rooting for Jordan and the Bulls in my childhood and even someone as young as I was at the time knew it wasn't all about him.

If you believe that any player in the NBA is going to be more loyal then the other merely because of the values you teach in North West Indiana or Miami Florida for example, then you are just flat out delusional and stupid. I have for years listened to this crap that some of you in the east is more loyal and holy then us in California and again - it's crap.

The NBA is a business and each player is going to go where he can get the best deal for himself. Each player is loyal to himself. Lebron doesn't give a shit about Miami any more or less then Kobe for the Lakers or Rose for the Bulls. It's about the money an championship titles for themselves. The team owners don't give a shit about anyone on the teams, the gm or their coaches. It's about putting out a product that lines their wallet with cash, so get this straight

IN PROFESSIONAL SPORTS THE ONLY THING ANY PERSON IS LOYAL TO IS HIS POCKET BOOK - SO CUT THE CRAP ABOUT LOYALTY - IT DOES NOT EXIST

Obviously you don't have a clue. OK, maybe you do. Kind of, at least. I still know more about basketball than you and it isn't close.

You see, I own just about every Jordan video ever published. That 1993 season I mentioned was a dogfight for him in more ways than just one. He retired the first time because he grew tired of the media breathing down his neck. And when his father was murdered, that was the final nail in the coffin.

Fortunately for us Chicagoans, his love for the game was too strong, and he was back within a year and a half.
There's a big difference when someone says I grew up watching him compared to I grew up watching video's of him.

Watching video's doesn't show the media / worldwide frenzy on how the Bulls were all about MJ from his 3rd year on... up until the time he quit. He thought he had to put on a show and make it all about him because of the hysteria. That settled down "a little" after Phil became coach and convinced Mike to be a "little more" team oriented.

Isn't everyone a little indiviual-oriented when they're that young? Just look at what I was on CBS three years ago at age 22. Yeah, he was a bit of a stat stuffer his first three years but as he grew he helped others grow in the process. Not saying guys like Pippen and Grant didn't make their own success, but MJ's presence helps.

I'm not saying it was a bad thing, but just stating that it wasn't until later in his career that Bulls weren't all about MJ. Especially after Rodman and Harper showed up.

Btw.....Pippen isn't my hero

Yea I don't think the Bulls will win another game, and they have no one to blame except Rose.

Oh, but I thought it didn't matter whether or not Rose plays, that the Bulls would just move on...:lame:

At least try... Whats worse? Leaving in free agency and airing "The Decision?" Or being medically cleared for MONTHS accepting almost 20 million from The Bulls and much more in endorsement money? Even without Rose, the Bulls still made the second round, and will lose to the Heat in the same amount of games.

I'm still going with "The Decision" and showing up your teammates and fans. Rose probably should tough it out and play, but at least he cares enough not to disrupt team chemistry after not playing all season.

You see here, piss-tons didn't even make that original quote. It's just he dick-rides WCF so much that he took responsibility for it anyway

Great, you can read. Point here moron was that you weren't even the one who said the Bulls would move on and be the same team with or without Rose, yet took responsibility for it anyway.

When did I take responsibility for it? It should have been easy for anyone to realize that Rose was just a slightly better Monta Ellis. He is a volume shooter on a team who wins by rebounding and defense.
