Which one is Pike Place Market?

..and where's the casino?
There's Indian casinos all over the state.

Here's the two closest from downtown Seattle.

The Northwest's Biggest & Best Casino - Muckleshoot Casino <--- this one is just southeast of Seattle

Snoqualmie Casino | Seattle's Closest Casino

That casino overlooks Snoqualmie Falls.

Pike Place Market is downtown one block up from the waterfront.

1973?
California/PAC12 should have the biggest fan support in the U.S.
Their culture of the left (and all things "Anti-American") has destroyed that. And that is sad for all of us.

It doesn’t have anything to do with politics. It has to do with there is a shit ton more to do on the west coast than any other conference. If your only choice is going to a football game or spent time with your in laws, ok. But that isn’t the case out west.

USC averaged 72,580 attendance from 2013-2017, Not great but no where near 25,000 empty seats per home game.

Attendance Rankings: Five-Year Average

 Whoops...mistook a 3 for an 8...I accidentally read 93K seats as 98K seats... my vision isn't what it used to be....

.....still.... average empty seats per home Trojan game over the past several years has been approx. 20,000 to 21,000.

But again, the 16,000 reduction in capacity as part of the shiny new renovation will probably result in many sell-outs. Folks will be curious about the upgraded Coliseum and will probably wish to see it in person prior to the 2028 LA Olympics.

Not to side track this thread, but here is how they plan to make the Coliseum ready for track and field for the 2028 Olympics.

My first game in the Coliseum was in 1984 (vs. LSU) before the original track was removed. Glad to see it coming back! I'm sure Traveler will like it too! Here is a pic (not mine) from the 1984 Olympics. My pics from the LSU game are in a box somewhere. lol. Thank goodness for Smart Phones!

There are other things to do in other parts of the country too. What it comes down to is whether folk are as hard-core of a CFB fan or not. CFB only takes 6 or 7 days out of the year to go to home games. That leaves 350 (give or take) days to do all of the other things. That's my experience. I do things on the other days just like people living on the West Coast.

As for the LA, for example, the Dodgers are usually one of MLB attendance leaders. Just tells me that fans in L.A. like MLB more than CFB not that there are too many things to do. At the end of the day, there is nothing different in sitting outside at a Dodger game and sitting outside at a USC or UCLA game in the too many things to do argument.

FWIW, when I lived in the Bay Area, I went to both Cal and Stanford Games on CFB Saturdays, and I still found time to do all kinds of other things the rest of the year! I have also been to games @ Washington, @ USC and @ UCLA. Just wanted to point out that I am not just blowing smoke from the other side of the Rockies.

Too many teams in Cali, too many transplants, too much to do, etc.
We have 2 in Michigan and occasional non-power 5 to root for. My buddy moved back from SoCal and said it was rare for them to get together for a San Diego game. Everyone had their own team and stayed home to watch on the ticket or stream for college then meet in the evening to smoke and surf.

Can't speak for everyone but he told me this on a few occasions.

This has a lot to do with it.

The end of baseball season and the playoffs overlap with football season and the NBA starts in October, so it overlaps as well and we now have 2 NFL teams.

Between USC football, UCLA football, Dodgers, Angels, Lakers and Clippers and now the Rams and Chargers...there are a lot of choices and only so much money to spend for most fans.

And that isn't even counting the Kings and Ducks for hockey, beaches and mountains.

I've gone to a USC football game in the afternoon and then a Dodgers game or Lakers game that evening.

When the Clippers used to play at the LA Sports Arena, you could attend the USC game in the afternoon and then walk about 5 minutes to the sports arena to watch the Clippers.

That's a lot of competition for folks money. So naturally, they are going to want to spend it on teams that might actually win.

Football has been a dying sport in California for decades. D-1 programs Long Beach St., Fullerton St. and College of the Pacific all dropped their football programs in the 1990's, lesser programs UC-Santa Barbara & Cal. St. - Los Angeles dropped theirs in the 1970's. Some D-2 programs like Chico St. and a few others shed their programs a while back; and Northridge St., Cal Poly Pomona & UC-Riverside dropped theirs just before or just after moving up to 1-AA from D-2. Santa Clara's FB program was another victim. San Jose St. could be the next to fall.
Running a football program is expensive. Title 9 helped to speed up the departures

How expensive are you talking? Can you put some kind of comparison chart or graph together to illustrate what you mean?

There are other things to do in other parts of the country too.

Not like in the LA, Southern California area. Read my post #71 and tell me who else has that number of options.

Yeah no doubt there is traffic in Los Angeles, but there is so much to do there. Nice beaches, good baseball, Disneyland, etc.

The college football season starts as pennant races and playoffs start in MLB. The Dodgers are almost always in the hunt and the Angels are at times as well.

If the choice is, for example, a Dodgers game that could help decide who wins the division or a playoff game and college football game...most are going to go to the playoff game.

That and LA has two NFL teams, two MLB teams, two NBA teams, and a NHL team along with two P5 college football teams. Throw in the beaches, Disney Land, Magic Mountain etc ...
